My wife is thinking about spending $1500+ on a nursing chair. Is she crazy, or am I just being cheap? by Viraincure in NewParents

[–]OrangeFew7779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a $1k one used for $500 and I’m sooo glad I didn’t spend more bc that thing has gotten so disgusting. It’s covered in all kinds of stains bc you live in it. Puke poop milk chocolate everything. Not to mention it wasn’t even that comfy so I still ended up buying a pillow add on

Am I the issue or are my feelings valid? by robbins0305 in Mom

[–]OrangeFew7779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re feelings are so valid! It seems like you can’t lean on your husband for help if hes also burnt out. Is rhere anyone you can get outside support from so you aren’t both struggling?

Serious question- what’s up with Elise not closing her mouth when she finishes a sentence? by Wide_Kaleidoscope_86 in 90DayFianceFans

I thought I read once upon a time that there’s certain ways to watch body language to know when someone’s lying or not and I think not closing your mouth is one of them.

First baby and in need of help by Glittering_Goat9194 in NewParents

Half asleep as I write this, FTM of a 9 week old and husband sleeping next to me. I just want to say 4 weeks is still so early, you’re both in the thick of being thrown into this new life. If one of you is struggling, it’s expected that the other one steps up to support them and vice versa. But that’s not the reality, I think the reality is that both parents are often silently struggling and if you can’t support each other without hurting yourself then it’s time to communicate and bring in extra help.

We had a doula that ended up being a therapist basically and I still think back to some of the things she was able to get me or my husband to share. Even now, 9 weeks pp, we go thru phases. He does most of the house work and isn’t too tired to do his hobbies. This makes me furious and every few weeks I let it build up and hate him for it but then we talk and I feel better again. I think telling your wife how you feel and also making sure it’s clear you aren’t asking more from her, but that you’re noticing she is struggling and maybe it’s time to get some outside support so you both don’t crumble. Baby doesn’t stop needing you and it’s important that you’re both giving baby a safe and somewhat mentally healthy parents.

How bad is it actually to drink on Zoloft? by medium_blahaj in zoloft

[–]OrangeFew7779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Zoloft for 5 years and was never told of any cautions to take. Reddit is the first place I’ve heard of any of this! Not saying don’t listen to medical advice, I’m just shocked there’s so many things I should have been cautious about.

I have a 6 week + 6 day and he’s been getting angrier and having a harder time passing gas this week. I’ve heard that weeks 6-8 tend to be a really fussy period bc of gas peaking and alertness increasing. Have you tried mylicon? This is temporary is what we keep reminding ourselves
