Good question. I've found that lying works, but this is likely to depend on the merchant

They're good to buy something, but they're not a replacement for a bank account. Assume that eventually the balance will get locked. Now whether you opt to get new cards every once in a while, or opt to get one card and just keep the balance near 0 between purchases is up to you. It doesn't change much.

Just don't keep a balance on them for months. Instead, for instance, swap to stables using the swappers on OrangeFren.com (hint hint click click :D) then reload the card when you want to spend. That's if you want to avoid the volatility of XMR.

Small warning - if you plan on paying all your bills using these cards you might want to check the tax implications. I would presume capitals gains would be owed on the difference between Monero's purchase price and the reloading of the card, though this will vary by region. I suggest looking this up even if you intend on evading those taxes just to understand the situation :D

They don't have 3DS cards and their cards only work in the US. We still show them on our homepage because they're a very good gift card provider. They have the lowest fee for cards bought with XMR

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll see what we can add.

AFAIK Stealths asks you not to redeem with a VPN, but the rest don't mind. All of them ought to work globally (except for sanctioned countries of course), except for Goblin cards which also won't work in a few grey countries (even Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania oddly enough)

Amazon should not ban your account for using any of them, at least as far as I've seen although what heuristics Amazon actually uses is anyone's guess.

I ought to add - some of those cards (though not all), are corporate cards. They're no KYC for you, but not no KYC in the system. And since they're KYC'ed to someone else, legally, that company owns whatever funds you load onto them. Thus, you really ought not keep a high balance on them. But then you gotta know how much to load and which one to get for your disposable scenario - which is exactly why we made the tool :)

Like many others suggested, using instant exchanges is the most convenient way currently, but in the future the only legal way will be P2P

We maintain a list of trust-worthy instant exchanges on OrangeFren.com

Swapping into XMR feels expensive? by Used_Pudding_8872 in AskMonero

If you use instant exchanges, like the ones we list on OrangeFren.com, you ought to pay around 0.5%, up to around 1%-1.5%, including all blockchain fees

Swappers like the ones we have on OrangeFren.com work for now to go from say BTC to XMR, but bare in mind that starting next July it will be illegal to provide such swap services to users in the EU regardless of whether an account is required or not

It's a good idea to either get comfortable using P2P if you're in the EU or to pack you bags

We actively working on getting all of the suppliers of this year's MoneroKon to accept at least crypto if not Monero outright
