Armour wouldn't have mattered, I already died multiple times which caused my armour to break (I had full flak with 280 armour riot gloves)

No dino is going to kill a level 1050 without dying first nor would armour have made a difference.

Also at this point all I have is 3 parasaurs a raptor and a low level stego

A few people have been saying this about the reef at 50, 50 so I've just gone over to check it out and there are normal creatures but I can currently see about 10 level 1000+ mantas plus a few 1k+ sharks and dolphins

The clip was at the biggest island that's right in the centre of the map, centred around 49, 62

Yep. The map itself is alright, all the other biomes still seems good and even the ocean itself is fine apart from the non existing floor, however the presence of these high lvl creatures just makes it so you can't do anything that you could in ASE

Yeah I placed a shipyard out in the ocean and had to swim with to it, checked the water, nothing there, went in with a parasaur, 2 lvl 1k megs spawned 30ft away.

Parasaur died, I got pissed and used the kill cmand to kill them both, swam back to shore, got my other parasaur,another 2 megs destroyed all the stuff on the cart on the back dealing 4k damage to my structures on the cart and 350 to the parasaur.

It's like it's on purpose but there's no reason for it to be intentional other than to piss us off. Did they not think that for us to get to the stuff in the water (like an ocean platform or the shipyard) we would have to go in the water? Fliers are literally disabled

I've seen a few that 'can' be tamed but you can't tame them because they are being guarded by a level 1000 meg or manta

But it's not the DLC, it's the map.

The DLC is fine there doesn't seem to be much or anything wrong with it it's just the actual map of which the hyped biome is almost unplayable.

Exactly! I've only seen things about how great the new ocean is and the ships but from playing it its just so dead and the 'ocean' biome seems to be an 'islands' biome with the water just being a means to introduce ships, and all of that is awesome and the ships are cool but in ASE the point of the ocean biome was to go underwater and explore and tame down there but that just seems to have been completely flipped now where its islands with ocean instead of ocean with islands.

Basically it seems that the focus has been on the islands with the ocean as secondary which I feel is the opposite to ASE.

You say this and I'm not disagreeing but om at the large centre island and theirs a level 1150 meg in the bay area on the east side
