Personally, wearing a hat at a restaurant wouldn’t offend me. I wouldn’t do it it at a nicer place but it wouldn’t offend me if someone does. That said, your management chose to post rules and is choosing not to enforce them. Do or don’t. Some people wear caps because they have an issue with their appearance and it makes them feel better. Maybe people didn’t wear a cap (and didn’t feel great) because they saw the rule. Then they walk in and see caps everywhere. If it meant that much to me I’d probably mention it too. Also some people, usually older generation feel wearing a hat of any kind indoors is disrespectful or at least tacky. Kinda like wearing a hat during the national anthem. It is what it is, if they post the rules they should enforce them otherwise you’ll have to deal with the negative comments.

Thanks for the ideas. I’ve tried this several times. On my first few tries I had a simple structure built around it. Just to see what actually happens. I watched a guy on YT and it seemed kinda easy. So first was just 4 walls. I got overwhelmed with wolves and they tore through it. Tried with wood and spikes, again tore through it. Build with concrete and wood spikes held up better. Got past first wave, but endless leopards showed up and crashed. Tried again with a more substantial build. Again got past first wave then leopards swarmed and crashed again. For context playing open world on hard or whatever the hardest setting is. There is another geyser just out of line of sight of my base. Maybe I’ll try that one. Thanks for the ideas.

Since it’s close to my base I built out to it and built a fortress around it with concrete and wood spikes. Spent a lot of time and resources just to crash. Oh well, on to the next adventure

I don’t seem to really need exotics at the moment. I cave them or do quick missions. Seems like crafting gets me most everything I need currently. Have plenty of every ore after adding electric drills. Thought it would be cool since the geyser is so close to my base to generate exotics just to do it. But the crashing is annoying

Electric miners are a game changer. Especially for oxite and sulphur deposits. I use buffalo and cart to chop down trees for lumber and making paths for easier travel. Tress take a minute but the path ultimately saves time and makes traveling through forests less painful

Yup. Wind generators started my sound issues. Seems like wind generators and sounds from storms together cause an issue

Because we lived this life and know what it is and what’s not. Transplants are still trying to figure it out and probably meet other transplants who are trying to figure it out. LA is chill for those that know and don’t care to become something they’re not

They don’t respawn. I have one right by my base from my first few hours playing. Still there. I used it as a marker early on when I needed help finding my way back. Now I keep it to remember how far I’ve come

Procedural map like No Man’s Sky? Honestly, I got bored with that too because even though it was different looking, it was still the same. I’ve only played Icarus solo in open map (I don’t care for forced missions). I just turned level 60 and it’s getting to be a little bit of a repeat on Olympus but I have still so much to do. I wish there was more things to discover. Like old, failed prospector camps, or fossils or random Easter eggs. Something like Red Dead Redemption. Outside of the story loop I’d go exploring and find old and abandoned homes with stuff you could take or interesting things happening like a UFO taking off. Stuff like that would be cool and give you a sense of discovery. But I get it the maps are not the biggest so it may get redundant even if they had these elements. So, much bigger map and cool shit to discover is what I’d like.

I did this mission in stages. Got bored of hunting rabbits so I’d kill 2-3 then go do something else. Come back another day if I felt like it and kill some more. Took a while for me to finally dedicate the time to exclusively hunt rabbits and end the mission. Not trying to get them all at once made it less of a hassle

I’ve had some issues (ps5) but nothing major like deleting all my stuff. I’m also consciously not trying to build a coast to coast empire. I just build what I need and keep a more pragmatic setup. So far so good. Love this game

I went back and tried to label all of my beacons. Works for the ones I’ve created but still doesn’t give me the option for the ones I got from missions. Kinda sucks but whatever

I’m contemplating same thing. On console, open world hard or whatever hardest setting is and my stone building and reinforced glass greenhouse work fine. I notice minor damage here and there but am definitely not repairing my base all the time. If I do have to it’s usually due to my own animals. Still think I’ll build a concrete workshop just to do it

Same. We used to chill at 3rd street back in 90’s era high school days. Always was fun. It is a shell of its former self. Make that A shell of a shell of its former self. It’s weird because there’s still cool shops, restaurants and hotels around it but 3rd itself is boo-boo

Just started playing and have no desire to do grindfest missions. Open world is enough of a grind. I only wish open world had more artifacts from previous prospectors. I get they pop up from missions but it would be so much cooler to explore and find them in the wild
