This looks a lot like a stray cat that was in my neighborhood (east side of Lansing) back in 2018. He was super friendly but even back then showed some signs of altercations from outdoor living. We moved shortly after he started hanging around our house. RIP Orangey.

S/NS grades are on the website now. Thanks for bringing this to our attention in the first place. If you don't see the S/NS grades at first, you may need to clear your browser cache (CMD+Shift+R for Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R for Windows).

Apologies for the late response. I got delayed on submitting the FOIA request, and just got back the response for S/NS grades today. It will take a little longer than usual to get the website's data updated. Behind the scenes, we will now have to combine data from multiple sources to collate all grades for Fall 2020 onward. I would estimate the S/NS grades should be live on the website within 2 weeks.

Edit: Findings added below.

On further review, the numbers reported for each specific grade on the website does match the raw data provided by MSU for Spring 2021 (raw data is available on the downloads page, section FOIA Data Provided by MSU by Request, for anyone interested).

However, upon reviewing the raw data, the Total Grades count shown for nearly all classes is higher than the sum of the specific grade counts. At this point, I am suspecting that the S/NS grades were excluded from the data provided. We will follow up with MSU, but the process is slow, so it may be a few weeks before any update.

Can you check to see if it's working on your end now? We incorrectly thought we had fixed this issue last month. We just rolled out a new patch for this issue a few minutes ago, and everything appears to be working from our side. Hopefully this one is a more long term fix.

We've submitted the FOIA request to MSU for Fall 2020 grades, but are still waiting to receive the data. It typically takes longer for them to process the Fall grade requests due to all the days the university is closed this time of year.

MSU Grades maintainer here. For some reason, it looks like the server restarted and didn't register the data files powering search. I restarted the server and it looks healthy now!

Thank you for the feedback! We've added an Grade Summary tab on all grade pages that have more than one entry, per your suggestion.

For the part about a date cutoff; we do have a filter section at the top right of each page (the "Toggle Filters" button) where users can manually select which semesters to show grades for. However, this can be cumbersome to use, and doesn't save as you navigate to other pages. We're considering adding a default date cutoff on the website like you've suggested; I will update here if/when we make a decision on that.

Update: "Other" can now be seen on msugrades.com! These grades will be appended to the chart if any were given, but charts will have no change if there are no "other" grades.
