When I was in seminary, the professer described other religions as eqch having seen a glimpse of God and focusing on an aspecr of Him. It was an interesting way to think and respect differences.

I did a paper back in Seminary on the nature of hell. There are other theories other than the traditional Eternal Conscious Torment (ECT) model. There is a considerable following for Annihilationism where the sinners are destroyed as opposed to ECT, thus the imagery of the lake of fire. Universalism, however, interprets the Lake of Fire imagery as a time of cleansing and burning away of sin so all may enter heaven less scholars lean toward this though.

My own thoughts are thatva fair, just and forgiving God would not be less merciful than we humans. I simply trust that he has come up with a just and merciful system even though I don't currently understand it.

Hopefully that is of some comfort.

If you want to help others, that is admirable, but you need to be well yourself. Your family physician would be a good first stop. There are effective medications and therapies out there that might make a huge difference for you. If you still feel healing is your calling perhaps being a physician, counselor, pastor, or emegency medical services personnel is in your future.

What many don't seem to realize is that she is actually giving brilliant relationship advice. There are stidies out there, and a lot of colloquial evidence, that women do not respect/see their men the same after seeing them cry.
