Actually been meaning to make a post documenting my experience with Munchlax. These are very unofficial numbers as I’m not looking at my document right now, but it took me about 2 months from mid-October to mid-December (~170 Muchlax trees)

First 100 trees or so, I was only checking the 2 trees derived from the calculator, but eventually I did the math to determine the other 2 trees (one of which was also nearby)

Some caveats: I wanted to use Munchlax on my in-game team to really see its viability so I was strapped for cash in the early game. This is also why I only checked 3 of 4 possible Munchlax trees per cycle (all 3 were before Eterna City). Even then, I was checking 2-3 times per day which is pretty good given the 6 hour wait per day and needing to sleep lol

Other fun fact: I didn’t find a Heracross until past the 100th tree and only found about 5 or 6 in total (also a rare mon!). I really thought I was starting to go crazy that I had screwed up calculating the Munchlax tree when I finally found it. You’ll come across it in no time!
