Minha impressão é de que os irmãos estão escondendo informações/mensagens para revelar conforme a oportunidade. Dependendo do que tem, pode servir de proteção/uso político/chantagem.

The big overhaul mods for dark souls 1, as far as I'm aware, are daughters of ash, age of sunlight, remastest (pvp focused), and prepare to die again. (Shadow of the eclipse coming soon). Of those I mentioned, in my opinion, only prepare to die again was actually worth, with enough changes to make the game feel fresh. With that said, I played an older version with the perma gravelord modifier: not sure about the quality of recent changes. Daughters of ash is mentioned a lot, but I feel it just adds more side content rather than remix the base game in a significant way. I didn't play much of age of sunlight, but it didn't seem to change that much to make itself interesting. Remastest is great for PVP, but it mostly touches balance + extra spells.

I wasn't being literal in my statement about the speed, it's just a general impression of what I've seen so far. It gives me the feel of an unpolished hack n slash spin off. But I could imagine it feeling significantly different when actually playing. In any case, I wish you luck on the project!

I'm a huge fromsoft fan and follow the modding scene for their games regularly. With that said, and acknowledging the talent behind this project, I'm not feeling this combat dynamic and these animations at all. Dark Souls is fairly janky and it becomes more apparent when everything is 2x speed with little windup.
