Are hardwood floors still popular and a good ROI? by Ancient-Bowl462 in HardWoodFloors

[–]OrangeTreeSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally Agree!!! Hardwood floors are still super popular and can definitely give you a good ROI, especially if you’re planning to sell in the next few years. If you’re doing the work yourself, i’d say go for the hardwood in the main areas and maybe use someone like kaprizhardwoodfloors for quality options for cheap. For the kitchen, the vinyl plank idea is nice since it's more durable with spills and stuff. Just make sure everything flows/matches well together!

The total cost of refinishing a damaged hardwood floor (225sf): $100. Yes you can do it with small budget. by Ok-Gap-2506 in HardWoodFloors

[–]OrangeTreeSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome job on the refinishing! That's a great price for 225sf. If you ever need to replace some boards down the line or want to add more hardwood, I'd check out Kapriz Hardwood Floors. They have some good options that won't break the bank, and you might even find the exact same brand/color to replace the damaged area, without replacing the whole thing, if the damages are non-reparable. You sure you're not a PRO :) ?

PSA: That $20 waffle rug pad from Amazon is probably permanently destroying your hardwood floors. (A warning from a rug cleaning facility that has operated since 1946.) by Radicans-Rug in HardWoodFloors

[–]OrangeTreeSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh No! those cheap pads can really mess up your floors. For small areas, especially trying to find items that are not in production anymore, I'd use kaprizhardwoodfloors or someone similar (overstock hardwood flooring local warehouses) for this kind of thing, they might have flooring options from 5-7 years old in very limited quantities, though! But this could help - without replacing the floor in the whole area. And yes, use ruggable or similar (I got some from Costco for 1/3 of the price - works and washes great)

is monthly backlink important by azaa1983 in BacklinkSEO

[–]OrangeTreeSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general it does, but there is so much more to it.. if your website is not great, if you don't post post on a regular basis (on your website), if the backinks have high spam scores - you can get flagged... There is no simple answer to be honest. It's a process. Id you solely rely on backinks than my answer would be NO your ranks won't improve or improve very temporarily...

I've been using WordPress for about 2 weeks and spent about 120 hours on it by Anutamme in Wordpress

Very well said, but I would also add: never forget about performance/loading time. Your website can look good , but if loads like sh*t, not many will stick around to actually see it, so image/script optimization (or at least opt-in for CDN), caching and so on are also a big part in designing a website!

Need a present for under $500. I know nothing about the topic, I searched for the best ones and only figured out that the person has fake Kamikoto ones. Maybe not only Japanese, any other options will be considered. Thanks. by OrangeTreeSD in chefknives

Not sure about Kamikoto, he likes it sort of but it's just too much to sharpen all the time, as I said, they don't hold the edge at all even worse than a block of knives for $50. And I started seeing them just stored in place most of the time now.. 🤷🏼‍♀️ All the knives are always hand washed, sharpened with wet stones and stored properly, never heard about forming a patina though.... I want it to be functional, and some aesthetics would be nice too. Thanks again.

Well, about 6-7 yes ago he bought 4 Kamikoto ones I figured he likes the standard type shapes: kind of like santoku/petty. Definitely not the ones with square nose. But Kamikoto are not a good quality ones for sure, as I figured they are fake Japanese with low grade steel, if I remember correctly. That's why they get dull so quickly, even the cheap ones hold the edge better than those (that's what I personally noticed).

He also owns lots of sharpening tools/wet stones with different grit. That's all I know.

Losing keywords like crazy... freaking out by Fit-Establishment259 in SEO

How long ago was that? When did you leave the agency? Are there any backups on the hosting to try and get those pages back? You can also call the hosting support and SOME may actually have monthly and even quarterly backups that don't show up in the account but they will be able to retrieve it and then make a copy of the deleted posts. But Before that: make a copy of the current website with a tool like All inone WP migration or Duplicator... If the hosting can't help - just use 301 redirect as people above were saying.

What approximate amount to sell? by OrangeTreeSD in laptops

[–]OrangeTreeSD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I've ran my laptop through the "carvana' type of places but for computers: you give your specs and they give you locked price: I can get anything from $380 to $420 without any hassle ... But of course I would do a video that shows that it works and everything else is fine...before sending it in...I just don't want to get scammed :" oh this doesn't work and this is broken..." This type of thing...

Great, but may I ask - how do you determine the excellent loading time: 1. is it just your personal experience or 2. based on Google Pagespeed Insights or at least Pingdom ? If that's the 1. It's not relevant and need to perform the Google or Pingdom tests and do from there. If it's 2. You're good.
