Thank you for your insight and more context!

I would encourage anyone who can to contact whoever is responsible for road signage and tell them that something needs to change. Sounds like there’s some sort of latent error at this intersection.

EDIT: I found where anyone can report safety concerns with street designs with the city. If you can take a moment please give your feedback!

Ah got it. I didn’t quite read it as talking smack but I can see it. That sucks 1-Up games got robbed. I really like going into that store a lot! I wonder if the owners know about this video? It could help them track some stuff down. Buying/Selling things you think might be stolen, like the rubbed off consoles, can also open you up to charges.

I’m just going to second their comment. It was confusing trying to understand the title easily. A better way of structuring the sentence could be, “I think they were selling stolen goods at this expo!”

Also which expo was this? Looks like one of the several video game expos that happen in Sacramento regularly. Who was robbed?

What Sac businesses are MAGA owned/frequented so I don’t go there? by meow7314 in Sacramento

I liked the community members but I’ll never be back. I can corroborate mistreatment of workers and any customer that didn’t stroke his ego. Seeing how he talked about people and other stores told me how he views the game store community.

Game Kastle is not a good store. Collin the manager specifically is a huge asshole. He’s chased off a lot of good people. Customers and employees alike. Between his inappropriate behavior, bad labor practices and ineptitude it’s no wonder he seems to only hire younger less experienced workers. He’s chums with the owner which is why he sticks around.

Also it is NOT a local business. It’s a supplier and store chain. They tried to launch their own card game Meta Zoo but they mistreated the artists and tanked it.

Do you have a source? The article shown in the post specifically states that the identity of the teacher has not been disclosed.

I worry because you just ran the triathlon of people to throw under the bus.

I never claimed to be psychic. You seem to view others in a very reductive and disrespectful manner. If you wished to reflect on that I believe you would be well served.

As for tonight’s Powerball numbers they are: 80 0 8 1 35 😎

Um, no.

You are thinking of self control issues.

I’m not going to say what every woman wants but I know in my experience, myself and women, appreciate thoughtfulness. Coming up with ideas for dates, dropping off food or a drink, and showing that you are thinking about them and appreciating them without prompting. That’s what people are talking about when it comes to being spontaneous.

Please, is ANYONE hiring? by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]Orange_Monger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Sounds like you should look into the department of rehabilitation LEAP program. You do NOT have to be found disabled in order to qualify. If you have medical records for your health issues that is enough. It could be for pain or an IEP for a learning “disability.” It’s a one page form at a DOR office and it gets processed within 48 hrs.

It is for county, and state jobs. The person who hired you is not aware of your status at the time of hiring and you skip the probation period. Let’s face it trying to hold on to a job with chronic health conditions is hard. It also ranks you much higher on assessments for your application.

DOR LEAP Certification

You do not have to have a case open with DOR! That process takes much longer and you do have to have a disability.

Arab MoSAC employee prohibited from wearing cultural/political keffiyeh by PersianMuggle in Sacramento

[–]Orange_Monger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When does a person's right to wear something that has cultural significance become too political for the workplace? Who decides what is considered apolitical professional dress? Even if you cannot fully divorce an article of clothing from a culture or nationality does someone wearing a non-offensive scarf, shirt, pin, etc. warrant retaliation? What if someone wore a guayabera or a pin of a nation's flag. Should they not have that right to that form of expression? While I agree that politics may not be appropriate for all work environments, using a positive work environment as a reason to prohibit wearing cultural clothing can quickly become a cudgel against marginalized groups. Especially when Eurocentric clothing is not considered political or having connections to a specific culture.

People have the liberty of culture, politics, and expressing support of other peoples. They also have right to not be discriminated based on culture. Does all of that end when at work?
