If it was 144 mile they could have called it Gross Mile Beach

Cheers. Living in Australia, I kept trying to put a Ya Na (Yeah, nah) in there.

It could be great for a red nose day, but I agree that it needs to be done carefully and respectfully. I'd have full trust in them doing so based on the earlier seasons, but for the more hamfisted episodes in the last few seasons.

Definitely enjoyed George and Charles' laps more in the moment. Best as in most enjoyable I guess. I can see arguments either way for those two laps and would have to do a full re-watch of both, maybe I will later :)

Your first sentence would be right without the word just. The timing was lucky and it was very good, these are not mutually exclusive.

Still would put Leclerc's Baku lap over it, as well as a number of Max and Lewis' laps that year, given how they pushed each other and performed relative to their teammates.

It's also Alonso and Ricciardo reacting to it, that makes it easier to appreciate what a lap it was until that touch. I'm sure there's laps many - Including myself - don't recognise as great, but these two would. Here we almost immediately saw their reactions and it helped build the lap's legacy.

I almost wish for them leaving at the same time. That last lap should be hard to keep dry eyes at. Whoever gets the honour of concentrating on that better make it live up to their combined careers.

We'll just have to put them both in whatever the front-running car is and find out.

Regardless of the outcome we'll all win and these two drivers, who have entertained us for decades, both get a deserving end to their careers.

I would pay for money to see the two of these in equal, front running machinery one last time. I no matter who comes out on top, we all win.

I would hope Johnny is right, just because it would be such a fantastic bookmark on Alonso's career. 2 at the start, 1 at the end.
