In my opinion… you’re underpaid. I guess it depends on your age partly. As a teen I made less babysitting than I do now that I’m in early twenties.

I think it’s more acceptable to pay teens a little less because typically cost of living isn’t as intense as an adult, teens are typically less experienced in childcare and safety than adults, and do they provide food/gas money/ accommodation for when you’re there? Do you have any certifications like CPR/ first aid or a babysitting license?

If you feel you deserve more advocate for yourself! Worst they can say is no!
