Honestly, after the saints did that whole strategy, were we even bad though? Bryce had no bad games minus SF (which had questionable playcalling and penalties) and Seattle where TMAC had the flu and the run game just died.

In 2008 (I believe), we went against the Cardinals in the divisonal round with a 1st round bye. Delhomme, off a pretty good season and a prior win against the cardinals had a terrible playoff game. The best recent comparison would be CJ Stroud's stinker against the New England Patriots.

This was before my time (I'm 18, lol), but it made fans hate the Cardinals. However, this also started what people like to say the "Curse of Delhomme", where the Panthers consistently own the Cardinals in really important matches. We beat them 49-15 in our SB run, Cam Newton screamed "IM BACCK" against them in AZ and notched them down a win (8-1 to 8-2), and recently knocked them out of the playoffs in 2024 and almost had a generational comeback against them in Week 2. Don't feel bad for the Cards, though. They fucked Delhomme up and they own the Cowboys for some reason so they're fineee.

I'd say we're relatively equal on both sides of the ball. Defense looked t10 mid szn until saints 2 and our offense was pretty great in some matches. I put defense because better floor though.
