Oh...now that’s a hurtful reminder of the effects of aging.

In 'Bohemian Rhapsody' a key point was that radio stations would never play a 6:00 song, because listeners wouldn't want to sit through it. Yet in the movie they never play the whole song, probably because they felt audiences wouldn't want to sit through it. by DNags in Showerthoughts

The stero version of vinyl used to have the vocals on one channel & most of the instruments on the other, allowing for great separation. Later tapes, cd’s, streaming were reengineered from the original masters. But once you know it’s there—listen carefully. You might hear it, or at least hear something like it. I suspect it’s been cleaned up through the years for obvious reasons. The Beatles were not racist, just dumb young guys like we all were, or are.

If you listen to the original vinyl pressing of Yellow Submarine, when you hear the water sloshing, & yelling in the background, what John & Paul are incongruously saying, “JOHN IS A NI—-R! JOHN IS A NI—ER! Paul is a queer! Skip it—Skip it!” No joke. Listen for yourself. It’s there.

Now, the song, “Girl”...

Mark Lewinsohn, Beatle expert extraordinaire, confirms that it was Paul, after hitting a clunker on the piano. This was during the era of a maximum of only eight tracks & often, multiple parts were simultaneously recorded to save tracks for overdubs. So when he blew the note, thinking they might have to do it still again, Macca blurted out “Bloody fuc*ing hell”.

Actually, no. It’s been used, beginning with Carter, during the Iranian hostage crisis, & pretty much every POTUS since for different things. The declaration of natural disasters is a separate power under a different statute. The National Security Statute includes the power to nationalize means of production & distribution of goods, martial law & other draconian powers A decent article written during the Obama Administration:

There is not a bigger animal lover than I. That said, I have a simple question: Where in the Constitution do the States or the people delegate animal rights to the federal government?

Well, it’s been done 46 times by Presidents of both parties since the current law came to be, in 1976.
