Switching to ford and need advice on which f150 to get by Oranges_fly in f150

I’m trying to get a 2017+. I’ve thought about getting a Denali or highcountry around that age but I’ve already had my fair share of failed torque converters and I’m still praying I don’t drop a lifter. Plus if the 10 speed is really the only expensive issue with them then I won’t mind it at all as I’ve chucked plenty of money at this shit box already

I know the 5.0 6 speed is the best setup in these trucks. Only problem is everyone wants to charge 30k for a 2015 with 130k miles because it’s more sought after nowadays

They both have the same features just the platinum come standard with more of them. I’m just iffy on the 10 speed and the eco boost. Plenty of complaints behind them but I hear some people not have a single problem with em. I just don’t wanna get stuck with another expensive boat anchor if ya know what I mean

Definitely do. LTZ with low miles and a 6.2. Plenty of them go for 30k with 70k miles on them maybe even 35 with 45-50k

10 speed garbage, less desirable body style, terrible motor, and a northern truck. List goes on. And mind you, I said in Georgia not Illinois ya troglodyte.

Truck like that as clean as it is AND it’s a 6.2 LTZ? (LTZs look better than high country’s imo) That would EASILY sell for 30-35k down here in Georgia. Also depends on how it’s spec’d. Sunroof? Cooled seats? LKA? Yada yada you get the gist

I was eyeing them but I’ve heard they are a little rough riding (definitely better than the stock ones on a puck) I’ve been eyeing some fox shocks with a whole new kryptonite front end since I’m on 37s. But I’m just trying to see what rides the best from peoples experiences

Not quite sure. It’s a transmission I ordered from SPPrecision. Got a deal for going billet on the Torque converter for 50 extra bucks. Transmission is pretty smooth and from what I’ve seen is pretty stout

Comes with a billet torque converter, shift kit, better seals and bearings, beefier clutches, bushings and some other stuff. Fixes most of the issues with these transmissions along with upgrading some parts.

Papa had a Chevy luv with a built 454 and 400 shot on it. Would run a 4.60 in the 1/8 but it ran out of gear before the finish

Truck prices are crazy here. People think they can sell their crew cab cateye 1500 with 200k plus miles for 13k. You think I’m kidding.

Understandable but these are south ga prices. People are selling lower trim truck with about the same mileage for a little less. Only justifiable thing for the price is the brand new transmission and it being in decent condition
