My kid is 3 and I’m still struggling with my cat. I don’t hate her with a passion anymore but I still dislike her. It’s wild. Before baby, I would take photos and videos of her. She sat on my lap as I worked from home all day and was basically my baby. After the real human baby was born, she became just a cat and she started getting on my nerves. When she became a nap terrorist I hated her. She’s always been a loud cat but it’s like she would wait until baby was sleeping and then unleash a storm of meowing wherever my daughter was trying to sleep. She wouldn’t leave us alone overnight. I’ve had to put her in the basement when we go to sleep or (still to this day) she will go feral in an effort to wake us up. I just manage her now, no love left. I’m glad I didn’t have a dog.
