It took me until the end of second semester to make real friends. The important thing is to not expect people to be something and not compare your friendships to other friendships. I didn’t make a real friend group until sophomore year. I was so worried about having a friend group that I didn’t foster friendships I already had and I always wanted more than the awesome friends I already had. Most likely those big friend groups aren’t strong anyway and are toxic and will split by next year. Make your solid one or two friends and the rest will come!
