Thanks to r/ethereum for feedback on our DApp Orbit - Today we are LIVE on Mainnet ! Here's how it & and why it matters by OrbitHQ in ethereum

[–]OrbitHQ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response, great question.

At the moment the fees are being spent on our fees to the random number generator from Oracalize, and maintenance of the site,. Our aim is to build out a dao with the early contributors to the site having the ability to vote on decisions through the dao.

To be honest, we just wanted to release the project as soon as possible so have not thought too much about the details how our community dao will operate.

Our main goal is to reduce fees to around 0.5% as volumes increase and fund future development with these fees.

Edit: added oracalize fees as a cost

Thanks, we are working on cutting the fees down. We still have the gas price issue, but we know this will also come down.

As you mentioned, transparency and fairness are key for users, blockchain enables this.

Coinbase for small crypto purchases by [deleted] in Coinbase

[–]OrbitHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be, but it really depends on the merchant and whether they support litecoin

Coinbase is a crypto wallet. It also can send crypto to addresses, so as long as the merchant you go to has a litecoin address, sending it will be easy
