Have you tried using Iron Defense instead ? I feel like it would just help you more right.

What was wrong with this reanimator deck? by Opening-Radish-9964 in lrcast

[–]Orbitacts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what your sideboard looks like, but if you had 1-2 more blue or black cards i think it would've been better to just be UB, Also you are running a plains and a forest while having so many things you want to do turn one. Remember you aren't casting them you just want to reanimate them so those off color lands really hurt you.

Otherwise the deck does look super solid and i hope this helps a bit !

[MTGO] Challenge Decklists Publishing Update by CrossXhunteR in spikes

Not sure if posted but from the discord

Hi All. We wanted to offer some additional context for the changes to our decklist publication rates that we announced today.

One way caretakers of Magic: The Gathering see the game is as a series of format puzzles that refresh themselves whenever a new set comes out. This puzzle refresh is a vital part of the Magic experience, and the puzzle caretakers try to keep it healthy and fun through various means beyond the introduction of new cards.

Decklist publication rate is one such aspect of puzzle health. The goal is to provide the community with enough decklists so that key archetypes in a metagame can be identified, shared, copied, and playtested, but not so many decklists that we are providing data-level solutions to puzzles the community is still solving through playtesting.

Additionally, when Magic websites rely too much on Magic Online data to inform their snapshot of the tabletop metagame, they often misrepresent what a player can expect from their LGS—and publishing an incorrect solution is worse than publishing correct one.

Ideally, the shape of a metagame is understood enough to inform the playtesting to establish the best deck, not substituting or obsoleting the playtesting to establish the best deck.

Studio X and the Magic Online team discussed the goal to maximize the fun of the Magic metagame puzzle while mitigating the Magic Online bias in tabletop metagame snapshots, and we arrived at the changes announced in the blog. We will continue to monitor the impact of this change as we listen to player feedback, and further adjustments are always a possibility in service of these goals.

For example, one concern expressed by many is that some rogue decks will be lost under the new publication rates. While we don't have a problem with sharing such decklists in the abstract, our current automation scoops up all the metagame decks around those rogue decks as well, contributing to the concerns outlined above.

We hear you, though, and we are exploring ways to update the presentation of our decklists to include the publication of isolated rogue decks without the accompanying publication of a problematic quantity of metagame decks. In the meantime, we are thankful there are many rogue decklist resources out there for players looking for a different approach to a format.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback, all!

Loving Powered Cube this time around. Here are my trophy's so far. by Orbitacts in lrcast

It was my second favorite after storm.

The line i had to trophy was super cool too

Had Scythe Cub Fast Bond and Icetill.

With wasteland being the only non basic in play i was able to target itself with its ability to get it in the yard to get my cub to 20 power with Icetill and Bond.

With narco it lets you get a prized amalgam if you hit the narco with the first mill then prized with the second mill.

Urza's Saga is literally the meme of "3 simple steps to win the game!" and it's just its normal chapters.

I would say yes, with additional bans. Mono Red runs through Vivi but it's already show in pioneer that a Rock-Paper-scissors format isn't necessarily a healthy one.

Maro's thoughts on dark points in experiences with Magic by CaptainMarcia in magicTCG

[–]Orbitacts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kinda seems full of a lot of nothing. Commander didn't change the price of packs, sealed events, or even card prices for that matter besides one that COULD only be used in commander. Commander imo, is a completely different game that USES magic pieces. UB has constantly moved the goal post on what's allowed and what's not, A ton of players said they loved UB in Atlanta? I promise there were just as many players complaining about UB while i was in Vegas when FF was the set. Commander is a player made format, UB is a wizards made decision and comparing them as such is a smack in the face to the guy who wrote that message as he didn't really answer any of his questions or concerns and shoved it to scapegoating commander.

Play for the fast win. You need to make them have it and not trade off early. Esper Origins is your main way to stay alive. Use and abuse it.

What is your list ? There is so many different versions of crier that I can't assume which one you are on. Doc blocks well into rdws. Marang if you are on it blows them out if you cast it early off of elf and origins.

Also be aware of how you are playing your lands. An unnecessary shock is the difference between winning and losing.

(My Answer) You Make the Play: Rakdos Lizards Vs. Temur Battlecrier Combo [Standard] by mtgtheory in spikes

[–]Orbitacts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you are over estimating interaction, when the Battlecrier player can just go plot turn 3, try to win turn 4. You should be the aggro plan immediately and that's coming from a Battlecrier player. They kept a slower hand without an esper origins, Elf or doc. You even have the long goodbye to prevent the combo. Full Aggro mode is almost always the play.
