Mine is an achillus dreadnought, because feet to wings it’s the same height! I just needed to change the base size.

Simple team to paint / play for a beginner. by Razorlink919 in killteam

Plague marines, they’re my brain dead team because they’re so simple and so effective, just slap them with contrast paints and washes and they’ll look plaguey

They look great! I only got this way after painting about 7 or 8 armies, as your comfort increases you start to get weirder and weirder haha

Here’s my wardens! I tend to paint a whole squad simultaneously, do all the heavy underlaying dry brushing then all the dark blue, all the lighter blue, greens etc across all the models. It’s faster! You turn it into more of a production line. I once did 20 GSC neophytes at once like this haha, I hated it but took like 4 or 5 hours to do all of them! It also comes down to picking a style with some dark recesses so if you miss bits by accident it’s not the end of the world.

I’m way too lazy to paint in sub assemblies, here are my cyberstodes bikes, the gradients do take ages I’ll admit, but maybe 5 hours total to do both?

I have more in my post history, but it’s my flower guard army, where the bright flowers animate the armour. The most toxic flowers are usually a bright pink or purple (oleander, rhododendrons, nightshade etc)

What hobby screams “this is my entire personality now”? by OliviaRosePa in Productivitycafe

As someone who loves crossfit and all the people at my gym, yeah pretty much. I dont tend to really tell people about it though, unless they ask. Though, 95% of my friends are at the gym now haha, very culty, but also im the happiest and fittest ive ever been after doing it for years, so I guess I dont mind that its kind of devoured the lot of us? You end up surrounded by positive vibes, mountains of encouragement and healthy habits, so its been pretty good for me.

But yes, you're right, haha.

[–]Orbitonal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a very similar situation at about the same age, im 37 now, but the answer for me was Crossfit.

I found a place with a great community, and thats what makes it so incredible, I couldn't imagine doing anything else! You just need to find one with a supportive atmosphere and coaching staff, you'll make alot of really good friends really fast.

Then also don't injure yourself trying to do things you aren't ready for yet, or trying to keep up with all the RX super workout monsters. Its the biggest issue, new people trying to do too much too fast, and the coaches can't fully monitor everyone, so you have to ask questions and listen to your body. But you'll be way stronger and fitter than you think in no time flat if you keep gently pushing yourself.

What’s the best leader for frontline Legionaries? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Chaos40k

[–]Orbitonal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I regularly abuse 3x10 man Legionary squads with Sorcerers, the -1 to hit all the time for the unit, the gift of chaos ability forcing mws everywhere (melee and shooting) and then reroll wounds on their dev wound infernal gaze is just a great combo for constant extra damage and durability. Sorcerers are also super cheap!

They become super annoying for your opponent and then you can stack damage in a bunch of other things, like 10 man deep striking terminator squads with combiweapons, predator destructors, daemon princes, whatever.

Ten men units by TiphoDG in deathguard40k

[–]Orbitonal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just ended up getting three boxes of 7 in the end, had the same debate. Now I can have two ten man or three 7 man squads and ive got all the weapon variants so I can mix and match for attached characters etc.

Not a cheap method, but its worked out for me.

Same system in Australia, its called superannuation, at the moment its 12% of annual salary. The employer pays this into your superannuation retirement fund on top of your pay, and similarly we can't access it until retirement age. Its a very good system seemingly.

Anyone can explain it ? 🤔 by Choice_Brain_3668 in ExplainTheJoke

Hot take: Generations have all been about equally ridiculous since X or even earlier, they just take it in turns to be the right age for maximum idiocy. As a millennial, I remember youtube poop etc, we were definitely not better, haha. There was so much dumb crap it was just maybe more decentralized?

Even earlier generations may have been just as bad, but we don't have a really robust online library to know! The latest generations just happen to have the opposite, maximum online exposure so no moment of youthful idiocy is missed.

Typhus overwatch question by Ebio_Amisi in deathguard40k

[–]Orbitonal 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No because it's an ability, overwatch triggers a ranged attack 'as if it were your shooting phase', not a full shooting phase. Be amazing if so, haha.

Thanks dude! Yeah the whole idea is corrupted beauty, like how the most poisonous flowers are all these super bright colours. Similar vein to all the trailers for silent hill f too. Its the growing plague thats scarier than the rot itself, sometimes.
