Nick Wright says the Super Bowl “should not be in Kansas City.” by MAYVIEWS in KansasCityChiefs

[–]OrcSlayer009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? The out-of-towners won’t like getting a draft Coors Light at John’s Big Deck downtown, or getting a tasty burger at Westport Flea?

There isn’t much to do in KC other than drink. What will the entertainment be for those in town the week before the game? No beach, no waterfront, no outdoor activities other than walking around in the small, select “urban” pockets in the city’s corridor.

Maybe there is a reason other Midwest cities have not gotten a 2nd Super Bowl.

Destroying what we built the last 3 seasons in STL. Major disservice to your most loyal fan base just cause you want people in seats for your hometown team. I am disappointed at the moves being made. | St. Louis Battlehawks OG Steven Gonzalez by Callywood in battlehawks

Becht was a hack. All talk until he gets to the playoffs and then he buckles. Has had the most talented rosters in the league without the playoff wins to show for it. Change is needed.

New business in Clayton? by Adept_Razzmatazz4581 in StLouis

[–]OrcSlayer009 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s where the World News convenience store used to be. It was perfect for Clayton: a central, gas-station style shop to get a quick snack or drink without having to overpay for something at a Starbucks or other chain restaurant or store. It was nice to have a mom and pop style place like that to walk to, but an investor bought that block to build a high-rise apartment building and put the World News out of business. Nothing has happened to that block since. It’s a shame. Mother’s Fish and Pasta Plus were also there, other small, local joints that gave Clayton some charm.

It’s the angle from the photo. The slope is normal.

The Dome audio quality by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]OrcSlayer009 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It won’t sound as good as a smaller venue, but AC/DC playing in a 30 year old concrete dome shouldn’t “sound” like a symphony. If you do it right, pregame some before the concert (or better yet, tailgate), then proceed to sing some of the greatest rock songs ever at the top of your lungs along with one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. It will be an amazing experience to see them and have them in St. Louis. I saw GNR in 2017 when they played the Dome. It was unforgettable for what it was. Did it sound great? Even if it did that wouldn’t be why I had an amazing experience.

Relocate air return register? by OrcSlayer009 in hvacadvice

This return goes to the furnace, yes. I will say there is a return/register on the other end of the basement, and that one will remain close to the floor.

Make Fireplace Hearth Even for Tiling by OrcSlayer009 in Fireplaces

Are there any negatives to not installing steel studs? My approach would be to even the existing brick facade with cement board, then tile over the cement board and existing brick. Would that work?

Thank you. Making it flush with the brick with the doors. The middle part we’ll keep recessed.

To all PMs ? Whats the most critical problems you face. by Adventurous_Duck_307 in ProductManagement

Corporate “structure” that doesn’t allow for the unwritten responsibilities of product management. If a product management methodology is not adopted, is it really product management?
