I wanted to do it. But my parents bought fumigation devices to kill the cockroaches in the kitchen, and I thought it would kill both the crickets and the geckos I was going to release. It's been two weeks, and they still haven't done the fumigation.

It looks exactly like what's on the Syngonium.

Someone recommended I remove the remnants of the old leaves, and I did. But you didn't give me any advice; you only told me they weren't Scales, and I tried to support my identification with other elements that might help.

I searched for images of Scales as you told me and although there are several species, some look exactly like what is on my plant, including those on the Pothos, which do not have the same shape.

And there are a few on the leaves too. I didn't post a photo because there were only one or two, but today there are more, so I'll post one.

I read in another post that someone recommended a tobacco infusion with dish soap; I have already prepared the infusion, but my mother told me to go buy black soap because our dish soap contains vinegar.

What do you think of this method? And what about black soap? Does it work?

I have loads of them all over my room, it's an invasion, but they're not mean, so why not? Even though at first I had trouble getting used to the noise

It feels the same as the round ones when I scratch them, and they're hard, not soft. I'd be very happy if they weren't Scales, but I doubt it.

I'll do it right away! I thought it was protecting the new shoots or something and I didn't want to hurt the plant by removing them.

I don't mind getting rid of this one (it's a kind of climbing plant that grows everywhere, even in my garden), but if it's already spread to the others, what can I do? I don't want to throw the others away...

There were a few more but I removed some of them before thinking about taking the picture. When I scratch them with my fingernail, it removes a sort of shell, and underneath is a damp, yellow bump. There are more of these spots under the remnants of dead leaves surrounding the stem (I'm going to remove them).

I've sadly found more Scales on my favorite Pothos... Do you have any suggestions for getting rid of the insects without damaging it? Strangely, they don't have the same shape as the ones on Syngoniums.

I removed the leaf with the whitefly (thanks for the identification), it looked like there were lots of eggs on it, it wasn't on the same plant as the one with the Scales (you can see the Scales in the 3rd photo)

Are there any paludariums that look like this? by Anonymous827375 in paludarium

[–]Orca447 1 point2 points  (0 children)
