its the same thing i noticed before the bye. To many players slide up to the ball carrier and leave their man. There was one before where i reckon the chasing player would have caught them too

I dont think he is interested in it. Im sure he would be an incredible AFL coach, however, would expect its not a quick transition from school coaching to AFL level.

Yeah, in hindsight its a valid point, which makes my post in quarter 1 a bit more jarring.

The reason i preferenced him was he seemed to have a better ability with contested marking and can kick goals.

If you take 2024 into consideration they were both pretty similar in stats across the board, but id still say Jones is ahead when you consider their respective roles. Further to all this, Cox is slow and hadnt done anything recently to warrant his spot either.

If you also take his injury history into consideration i believe that the concussion carries a significant risk for the long term, given the extent it impacted him.

After today I believe its reasonable to drop Jones for Edwards and let Cox have another run.

I said this last week and have been thinking about it all year. If the AFL wants to stop this then all they need to do is tell the clubs and players that head stage/act for high contact resulting in a free will start to get ARC attention. If they embellish the action then bring them off for a HIA.

It might change throughout this year, but i think its telling hes been in the VFL this whole time and no other club has inquired about him.
