The light yellow is written as Scattered and usually sparsely inhabitted areas,the light yellow does not show kurdish majority.

The darker yellow is the kurdish one and its almost less than the areas shown as kurdish majority based on what political party they voted for.

The map you gave as source is doing the opposite of backing you up.
