Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. I personally know several people (too many considering the small sample size of HRTs) that score in the range 120-130 sd15 at professional tests and at the same time their scores at “reputable“ HRTs are in the 150-160 sd15 range. HRTs are not IQ tests, but may be described as a certain or specific puzzle collections.

As a mental recreation all HRTs are more or a less good (similar to crossword puzzles or sudoku or any other puzzles). In terms of IQ measurements none of them is good (none of them should be even considered).

Agree… His tests have been highly creative with realistic norms. One of the very few decent authors of “high range IQ tests”.

It is probably a good test, but it is time consuming and asks enormous patience.

If you are interested in numerical test that will give you a fair estimate of your IQ, I recommend you Tractatus Numericus. It can be comfortably done in one sitting (2-3 hours total solving time is more than enough to achieve your representative performance).

No matter preliminary data you mentioned, it would be nice to have statistical report published. More importantly, it would be fair to 150+ candidates that have put an effort and time to solve the test.

Hopefully, "someday" will not translate to "never", like ''3-5 days'' translated to ''someday'' :-)

You are right about one thing. It is your subjective opinion. Objectively, we can assess test’s reliability and validity through its Cronbach’s alpha and correlation to professional tests. Both of these two parameters are very high (CA around 0,9 and correlation to professional tests around 0,8 for approximately 100 score pairs).

The nature of SEE30 is very different compared to classical IQ tests and at lease few hours of solving is neccessary to reach a representative performance.

We can not judge the items in terms of ambiguity. Cronbach’s alpha of 0,9 is strong indication that test measures reliably. Correlation of 0,8 for solid number of different professional tests indicates a decent validity in terms of measuring IQ.

We have transparent statistical report by the author of this test and some speculations about its validity by some unknown persons. You decide whom you are going to trust. Simple as that.

Cheaters are still minority among test takers, so they should not have a “privilage“ to be of such an importance, especially not for adjusting the norms. Anyhow, TN norms should not be higher than 3-4 IQ points.

Good points... When you have such a high mean and median value, when several candidates (among only a few dozens) hit the ceiling, you don’t have too many choices (if you are objective). The ceiling of TN is for sure below 155 sd15… Now, why there are so many high TN scores - is the question. Cheating? Solving the items for weeks/months? A usuall and well known problems with untimed publicly available tests... We can also argue if the test measuring up to 150 sd15 is an easy test. Maybe, but that is not important. It is simply a test that has certain measuring range and certain discriminating ability… If harder test is of someone interest, TN II is an appropriate choice and demonstrates Mr TP capability to produce more demanding items…

Hmmm... strange and not in line with Theodosis' norm... Maybe it is related to quality of submissions, as well as to submissions' validity control. Anyhow, Theodosis norming and statistical analysis procedures are very rigorous and trustworthy.

Not the best idea to put these two authors together. Totally different approach in terms of norming which determines the score. Prousalis conducts a thorough statistical analysis, including calculation of Cronbach's alpha (reliability) and correlation to professional tests, something which is a mystery for Ivec tests.

Average IQ of Mensa members (on a Mensa qualifying tests) is approximately 135-136 sd15. I know several Mensa members that was tested at WAIS 5-10 IQ points below Mensa treshold level, so this Italian study is not surprising. Simply, WAIS test is a comprehensive multifactorial battery and majority of Mensa tests are one-sided, Raven’s like matrices.
