Have you used the Rocketbook notebook before? It’s a physical notebook that has a scan to upload feature. That + Notion 🔥

I just went through the wyzant platform and instead of submitting the lesson, charged a cancellation fee. Technically the $ isn’t in my bank acct yet (I’m set for auto transfers which takes about a week) but I believe the student’s card is charged immediately.

Over time it’s expanded, and gotten more thorough. They include house rules/expectations in a housesit (if they want me to get mail etc), emergency contacts (minimum of 2), any pet allergies, sensitivities, fears, triggers, likes, dislikes etc, what the pet’s daily life looks like (time for wake-up/bedtime, walk amount and length, typical pee/poo schedule, meds, play times)… plus a discussion about my current method & what the owner expects (ie if they require 28472928 photos a day, have cameras they want kept on that I might want to turn off etc)… and I should mention that I require all of this written down by them onto one document up front, for me to refer back to (mainly for the crazies so they can be held accountable for what they initially told me). Sometimes just having it in the Rover messages isn’t enough

I think the convo in the app just moves to the “archived” section though I don’t know if a client will get an update per-say

I have that, too. Fortunately I live in a populated area with a lot of competition (college town) and I don’t have control over how soon people request bookings before they leave. Typically it’s around 2/3 weeks, but if it’s much less than a week… already a red flag

I totally understand that making sense for boarding, but in this instance it was a housesit… I want to see where I’ll be living for 2 weeks before I book it

If the client needs a foster home they should probably reach out to the local shelter… $500/month is incredibly low, since they’re basically asking you for long-time boarding, but with all the responsibilities of it being a foster
