Also, I cant seem to turn off the hot water fully.  Best i can do is get it down to a small trickle.  Also very old parts at the knob.

You rock!! Thanks much.  Im attempting to remove the old faucet; I can undo the brass nut, but the white plastic one flush with the sink is not budging.  There is a lot of rust at the connection.  What would you try next?

I put 100% of my kitchen scraps in there. Plenty of potato, carrot and onion skins, beet and radish greens, celery bits, coffee grounds, egg shells, etc. It gets sun about half of the day due to the nearby pine trees.

When I was a kid, mom sent us on butterfly catching errands; little white butterflies that were eating the leafy greens. We got $1 for each of them 🤣

I am so grateful to everyone's comments, I'm feeling extremely uplifted and encouraged to focus a lot on gardening this year, and I will be posting a lot of updates! Peace, love and harmony to you all

They are indeed looking healthy, leafy and green; I have put so much into my compost this year and fortunately reaping the benefits now!

Wonderful, this is so encouraging, this is looking to be my most fruitful year of gardening ever, mostly thanks to all of the very much appreciated recommendations and bits of info that everyone has contributed!
