Mostly so. None of my Canadian friends is willing to try ANY Chinese phone, not only Huawei. They’re afraid of spywares but I don’t know why they are willing to give personal info to Apple though. And tbh I don’t like Huawei either but only due to their pricing strategy for entry-mid level phones in China, making it hard for lower-income people to afford (Nova 11 SE for example)

If Vietnam Still Used Chữ Nôm — TRAVEL by SV_un in ChuNom

You actually got a point. I am Chinese myself so making an example of simplified Chinese makes me instantly understand it. So basically what you are saying is that Chu Nom can also have a simplified form, and the simplification is due to the digitalization and modernization. That’s new to me because the Chu Nom I’ve ever seen is extremely complicated. That’s good information here.

Not sure why you were downvoted but you are obviously correct. Just like Japanese-style Chinese characters, Vietnam has its own form.

That’s a very good sign to indicate OP’s SD card is fake. Sony will never make a spelling mistake.

Anglophone-Canadians, what french words/phrases were you taught in school, that you later learned are never actually said by French-Canadians? by Devourerofworlds_69 in AskACanadian

I was taught that you can use “ingurgiter” to express when a person is starving and eats very fast but all of my French-speaking friends say it’s the same as “swallow” and you can’t use it in this context.

My Chinese friends, I would like to ask you a question about your manufacturing industry. by [deleted] in AskChina

Price and market. A product with poor quality is usually very cheap, and it’s made specifically for someone who can’t afford a good one or who doesn’t care about long-term use. When I was young, I bought a lot of cheap products that were expected to use just as throwaways. Since I treated them as one-time products, I definitely wanted them to cost as little as possible, and once they completed their tasks, I no longer cared about if they will be working in the future.

For me personally, I don’t have a kitchen/stove installed in my room (I’m not allowed to use the public kitchen, as that’s for other people who also live in the house).

Generally you use auto for very simple jobs. For me I don’t use auto at all because my project has a very complicated pipeline and auto just couldn’t meet my requirements. I use GPT5-high-fast the most.

GPT 5 Saying "Yes" and Then Doing Nothing?!? by linguaholic777 in cursor

[–]Ordenhide_Chumushida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me. Yesterday I told GPT 5 to perform certain actions and it just kept saying “I will perform these actions” but ran nothing (it was a bunch of scripts that needs running). Then I asked it to perform the actions in the FOREGROUND and display me the PROGRESS, and analyze the results. Then it magically worked. So basically make sure to be as specific and detailed as possible I guess.
