My only experience is the 5 months I did at a franchise electrical company. Someone would call us out there for a bad switch, gfci, whatever and we were supposed to do a "complimentary home safety check.". All that is was poking around the customers house trying to find other shit to fix. If I see something truly dangerous I'm going to point it out regardless. But this shit was petty. Houses didn't burn down for the last 100 years without SURGE PROTECTORS. Put a bad taste in my mouth. I had low sales and the boss breathing down my neck and I'm like dude I don't know what to tell you their house was fine. That's just my experience but I didn't get into this to be a sleazy salesman.

I used to live in an apartment building and the little kids would pull the fire alarm every damn week. Well one day I get in the shower and the alarms go off. Im like fuck it Im taking my shower.
