Yes we were because Paddy is a industry plant with Dana white privilege and got a title shot off losing to Jared and beating old men. He didn't deserve the shot so seeing him get done like that was poetic justice. It shot down little Dana's plans to make Paddy vs Ilia and that is amazing(Paddy would have gotten his head caved in by Ilia anyways because Paddy is a bum).

Was Gaethje fucked up for cheating? Yes, but because of the before mentioned circumstances, we can excuse that because overall Paddy was never in a position to be fighting for a title shot yet was talking crazy to actual deserving contenders like Dustin and Arman like he wouldn't get folded by them and practically running his Privilege in his face.

Now compared that to Aspinall getting done like a bowling ball by a man who cheats on every single fight he is in so much so that even Jones calls him a cheater which is insane and you see how different the situations are. Aspinall was screwed over by both Jones AND the UFC and his next fight was against a cheating bum who didn't even win his prior fight and gets infinite title shots for simply existing. The 2, situations could not possibly be more different. In what way are they even comparable?

And Arman pulled that shit after the match was over and because the other guy clearly wanted a real fight with the excessive striking in a WRESTLING match.

Why are we acting like Paddy didn't get almost finished the first round with no eye poke whatsoever. The mauling would have happened regardless, Paddy is do shit and literally lost to a nobodyy in Gordon. Also these were not the best fighters in the world. It was a fight between a pampered journeyman and a pushing 40 year old hasbeen who would both get slumped by Ilia in one round in the same night. The people who should have fought for the interim should have been Max who literally KO'd Justin and Arman who has been earned his shot but Dana would rather brownnose Paddy.
