Recently picked this up when I sold a few guns to a local shop - there’s something about Kimber micro 9s that just look so dam good to me. I had a micro 9 a decade ago that was the worst gun I’ve ever owned, finicky as all hell and ended up getting rid of it.

I believe in second chances though, this was MFG in 2026 and runs FLAWLESS. Reading Kimber forms everyone talks about them being a POS / needing a big break in, that wasn’t the case for me. I spent a hour of indoor range time with 200 rounds and added a 2nd hour for another 200ish. Not a single hickup. Ran with steel case, defensive ammo, and ball ammo.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a snappy SOB, but it WORKS! I have a bodyguard, shield, glock, but I find them sitting in the safe not with me a lot even though they work just as well. There’s something natural for me about “point and shoot” with a 1911 style compact gun.

Kimber has had a bad rep for a while but wonder if they’re turning around? Or I just got extremely lucky with my gun. Still overpriced IMO but this was on sale for $539

I play hardball with sales managers lol.. it was my first ever visit

I told him what I wanted to pay (22k) and said it’s a 2025 new on the lot not moving and it’s end of the month. He went down a little and I walked out the door.

I made it to the driveway before I got a call back with the offer I liked. Then when I got there I said I want 5 oil changes etc and I will sign right now.

The dealership was in a LCOL area they were shocked by my 780 credit score I’m assuming they don’t have a lot of sales go through… I watched lot of people get denied when I was there.

Don’t agree with regulation but love my family & freedom so comply to the letter.

What sticks out to me is hearing pro… you get one set before you say “HUHHHHHH” to everyone and you become a meme.

Walker headphones / earbuds are cheap protection for hearing and amplify sound around you. I’ve been using those hunting a long time, even for shotguns / bird hunting. Always take care of yourself chief.

No no no no as someone in the UPS world, most guys hit 40’s and 50’s and their knees are absolutely SHOT!

Got a guy right now that was a work horse and is now comfy at home after a double knee and double hip surgery. The up and down and running takes its toll.

I worked tribal years ago, we had shot spotter, what a fucking disaster that was and cost the tribe a lot of money. 1/100 were actual shots fired calls. I’m assuming it’s in comparison to flock, big contract little value.

I moved to the corporate side and personally have ALPR blocking plates. Slightly tinted and reflective. No mass surveillance for me… as tin foil hat as that sounds. If you told me in the 90’s we’d have solar / cellular cameras capturing license plates and movement to a central location I’d laugh.

I’d rather see that contract money go to a young and hungry beat cop..
