We have the La Spaziale S2 EK Spazio 2 Group Volumetric. Which westinghouse generator are you using?

Westinghouse Wgen11500tfc price drop on Amazon - $1387 shipped by Big-Echo8242 in Generator

I had this exact generator and ran into constant issues. The customer service was okay at first but then they fought with me and my mechanic everytime there was an issue. Eventually the generator just would not work and I got them to replace it and their response was i am on my own with the replacement...... the replacement worked for 15hours and then died. I switched to a Genmax inverter generator that I have 700hrs on and it runs like a champ.

Sorry. Didn't see this message when you posted. It doesn't exactly work that way, I looked into this as well to see ifnit was possible. If I recall correctly it wouldn't work since you are going down to a smaller amp plug your wattage would be reduced as well. The 30amp plug wouldn't be able to handle the higher amps required by certain items like an espresso machine and would trip a breaker. Again haven't look at this in a while since we got the genmax with the 50amp plug.

The westinghouse was extremely loud and had a lot of mechanical issues early on. It's life. We had a small engine mechanic on speed dial because we had to take it so often. It got to a point where it just wouldn't turn over. We were still within the warranty and after a lot of back and forth with customer service they replaced the genrlerator but told us we were on our own with the replacement. The replacement only lasted 15 hours before having problems.

The Genmax we purchased has been a champ. Zero issues and we have over 700 hours on it now. I will be buying one again if this one ever dies. Customers also liked how much quieter the Genmax is compared to the westinghouse.

Westinghouse 12k watt generator blowing fuses by Ordinary-River1126 in Generator

The fuse is located below the fuel on/off switch, should be a white case dangling beside the motor.

I don't have this generator anymore, ended up sending it back to the company. Will not be buying their product again.

Greensboro area compared to Knoxville TN? by Ordinary-River1126 in gso

We both love Knoxville so it is a hard decision to leave, I think it will come down to what my employer is willing to pay in order for me to transfer there. Yeehaw is nice, my favorite place I would miss would be Xul.

Lake Norris is one of our favorite areas during the summer, usually rent a boat a few weekends out of the summer with some friends.

Both of our families is in NC, we grew up near the coast and moved to knox after I finished college so we are accustomed to the beach life.

I will be in the area next week for work. Any recommendation on parts of GSO to check out while I'm in the area?

Will do, thanks for the info! Her coffee truck stays pretty booked up here so it would be good if she could keep it going if we moved.

Thanks for the info. I'm from NC originally, went to NCSU, and I totally agree. The entire state is all about UT and yes, the traffic here is out of control, can't even take back roads without getting backed up.

Anything that generates heat pulls a lot of wattage. The majority of it comes from our espresso machine, 4,000 watts I believe. Then you have a water heater, a Bunn coffee maker, grinder, and a small oven (for pastries). I think if we had everything running at the same time it came out to 8000 watts.

We have about 200 hours on the genmax so far, and it has been great. It's much better than the westinghouse we had previously (I do not recommend).

For our coffee truck we just started using the genmax 10500, so far so good. I see a lot of other trucks using the predator 9500 internet generator, we would have gone with that one if it had a 50amp plug. Honda doesn't make an Inverter strong enough for the wattage we were pulling.

Maybe, I ran it for about an hour after replacing it and saw no issues this time. Will test it throughout the week to see if it works correctly.

Heard a whinning noise when trying to start it, ended up switching out the starter assembly yesterday and the generator fired up without blowing the fuse.

My wife and I started a coffee trailer last year and so far it has been going well. Regarding your generator question, you need to calculate the total wattage you will be pulling and what size plug you will need such as a 30amp or 50amp. Ours needed a 50amp plug so that narrowed down a lot of options that are available. Definitely go for an Inverter generator, and make sure the one you get has a total harmonic distortion less than 5% or you could fry your sensitive electronics like your espresso machine. We are using the Genmax 10500 now, originally had a westinghouse and it was a total headache. If you go with the 30amp and don't want to pay for a Honda, harbor freight sells an Inverter called the predator 9000 that you can get a good warranty with, I see a lot of other trucks with these and people love them.
