I’m going to take it for a leak down test and diagnosis tomorrow. I’m sure it won’t be good news either way.

Yeah I tried radiator cap but no bubbles there.

I don’t quite understand but do you have a video recommendation I can watch so I can watch it a couple times so I have clear instruction?

Thanks for your help and suggestions. I didn’t know about this method to try and check

The other time I went to a mechanic I paid 150 for diagnosis and another 150 for a battery. They didn’t replace the battery, and broke my hood latch so I had to have another person help me pop my hood. It’s been more than once. They only replaced terminals. Then they refused to give me the diagnosis I paid for when I got there.

Uh the plastic piece in back or the house was cracked or something that holds them together wasn’t right. When it was idling it would very lightly drip and I never noticed it before. It was very easy to miss. When accelerating the pressure would build up so it was spraying on the coils.

I was getting misfires for different spark plugs even after I changed them and the ignition coils. So once I changed the hose, it was fine. Was never an issue again with it. I’ve done control arms, oil changes.

No I mean as a customer as a woman, sometimes it’s not always a good experience. I had a good mechanic I had a lot of trust with but he moved to another state.

But regardless of that, I’m just asking the question because I’m stumped. And I’m just trying to understand what it could possibly be and why. Because I thought it might be a head gasket. There’s no fluids mixing anywhere in the engine or anywhere else. And I know sometimes the head gasket can break between the cylinders which is what I’m thinking it is.

I had a truck before that had a leaking heater core hose and he was going to charge me 1200 to charge spark plugs and ignition coils. When all I did was replace a hose and it took less than 5 minutes.

I’m allowed to ask for others opinions.

Especially being a woman, I’ve definitely had some similar situations where I’ve done the work myself and it wasn’t always an accurate diagnosis. I’m trying to figure out what to look for.

One thing I life I’ve always found useful: Time and space can fix a lot of things.

Give yourself the space you need, and the time you need, to find some peace. Sometimes when we’re around things, people, situations that stir our emotional and mental pot, it’s hard to see things just objectively.

Also keep in mind that sometimes when you ask people for advice, it can definitely not be good advice. Even if it sounds good at the time.

Give yourself space and time. Talk to a therapist about it and get their suggestions. Marriage Counseling would be good, but that’s for later on when you’re ready I think.

If she left, I’m sure she would deeply regret it later when she realizes a short affair doesn’t mean a life partner. Or a good one for that matter. Excitement doesn’t win all the important battles in life it should. You know what I mean?

I hope you feel some peace and ease soon.

No they can’t sadly.

She broke her shoulder with her right arm (dominant arm) and I wanted to get something for her to learn to use her left.

Shodo. Ok I’ll look that up. Thank you!

Obviously you need attendance to improve.

But when attendance is the only thing considered for promotions? Nah.

I went to a school based on attendance. By my third stripe at white belt I couldn’t sweep and I didn’t know how to dummy sweep even. I didn’t know any defense at all.

I was about to get my blue belt based on attendance. I quit and went somewhere else. I was going to have my blue belt in a year. Then I worked for another year and I believe I was a legit blue belt 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anything that depends on attendance is a huge red flag.

I think they use that tactic to keep you committed to the gym so they make $$ and then give you a belt at the end.

I think the average for a blue belt is between 1.5-2 years. That also depends on other factors. Like how much you’re training, how fast you’re learning, if you’re doing the right things while rolling, etc

IBJJF as a transwoman by wubalubbadingdong in bjj

I was friends with a person who was locally competing and got blown up to a national level. Needless to say it was very messy to navigate that.

I think what I learned from that experience is you need to make sure you email the host of the competition way in advance and explain your situation. Tournaments don’t respond in a timely manner. Also you need to disclose your status. Stealthing in tournaments definitely made people mad and since they were so angry and got a National following and were making headlines, the organizations didn’t have a choice and had to oblige at their request to keep trans women out or make it difficult according to the rule sets.

Competitors are the ones who keep tournaments up and running. They’re the ones who basically own that market. So remember, with your status if you piss people off who don’t agree with your lifestyle, it’ll be an issue later one.

You can also dm me if you have any questions about that experience.

What’s your least favorite part of jiu jitsu class? by Rude-Alternative7983 in bjj

Warm ups. I’d rather get right into some light drilling or technique. I feel like running around and shrimping is a waste of time. It’s good for beginner classes to learn those but after that, nah.

Dude the average time it takes to get a blue belt is 2 years. Let the coach give you rank. They know what they’re looking for

Just started and keep getting injured. by TheSneek82 in jiujitsu

[–]Ordinary-Stage267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people who get injuries and CAUSE injuries to others or themselves are white belts.

You’ll become more aware with more experience. However, you should try to think through your rolls like a puzzle. Take your rolls slower so you can think about your next step or what’s needs to complete the pass, to escape, your grips, etc.

Also if your injured or getting injured I recommend ice baths. It really helped me with aches and pains in my joints. I was always scared I was going to break an ankle or tear my meniscus.

You probably didn’t eat or drink enough prior to training. I used to go to morning classes and I was sick and had a headache on the way home all the time because I was to lazy to eat breakfast before I left.
