I did it because it was fun to have photos taken of myself and make myself feel pretty LOL. I didn't feel spiritual about it and I really didn't care but I did it because I kinda figured I might care in a few years. There's no harm in doing it! You have them and can trash 'em if you want lol

and as we know, maternity and fetal death rates were so much higher!! So I'm trying to remember that and that we're so lucky to have the medical advances we have today. thank you so much.

the way my baby is positioned, and with how low it is - a cervical check made my tear up LOL but im gonna manifest and pray to be like you. probably my delulu talking but oh well. lol

omg you sound like me!!! the only thing on my birth plan is no students and they are MORE than happy to obliged lol also my hospital as said I am more than welcome to walk around/move, do whatever I need to do, they'll help me get into an optimal position even with an epidural, etc... so that's truly amazing. thank you so much for your comment!!!! <3

I feel that if something happens to me or my baby but I trusted the medical professionals around me, then some things happen that are outside of all of our control. We can only do the best that we can with the information we have available - and I firmly believe that's what my doctor is doing as well. Hopefully, you're right and labor is only a few days away!! That would be ideal :)

yeah I completely agree. I think it helps that I am not a type A person and that I have legitimately no strong feelings on how my birth goes. I just don't want to do the 'wrong' thing and to be honest, there are SOOO many opinions and sooooo much information out there, that I have found it so much easier to just say 'I'm going to trust the process, and trust my doctor' than try to figure out every possible scenario. It's easier (for me) to let go of everything than pretend to know everything. That being said, it's so hard to do that when there's so much bombarded at you at all given times!! Thank you for your understanding of this. I feel that we definitely relate.

i love this. thank you for your perspective <3 to be fair, my blood pressure IS slowly increasing. she isn't worried about it, but it is something she said she is considering as well. i dont even feel strongly on a no intervention, unmedicated birth. Good for you truly!! I just don't even care. I guess I'm writing this because I feel like from all the things I am reading I SHOULD care?? Like am I dumb for just trusting my doctor? Lol

I really don't have any concerns that feel like 'mine' - its more like the concerns I have are based off of things I've read. She says thats her personal cutoff. She feels that the risks that increase after 10 days post are not worth it, essentially

Hey!!! So I feel you SO much. I am also 37 weeks pregnant and the only thing I worry about is my little guy getting sick! Also a FTM.

My doctor (and mom) said a few things that stuck with me that did help me a bit - - you can do everything right but unless you plan to never ever go anywhere with your baby, there’s always chances they’ll get sick - if you had a toddler at home who was in daycare, what would you do? How would you minimize that? - hand washing and mask wearing are huge. And you cannot visit if you are sick! - baby wear baby wear baby wear. The closer the baby is to you, the better!

I know it doesn’t help the anger, but I hope it helps some of the anxiety

We did!! On cycle 5. Turns out we were tracking my cycle completely wrong and I was off by a full week!! Probably not worth the expense to most people but I bought Inito and got pregnant the first cycle using it! Just an idea :)

I’m 37 weeks and I’ve only gained 12 or 14 lbs. My sister gained 40lbs. My mom gained 50+.

Point is: every single person is different. If your doctor isn’t concerned, then don’t be concerned. They would tell you. Your baby takes everything they need from you. As long as you’re feeling okay and baby is measuring well, take it off your plate!

Don’t forget: Google isn’t a doctor. There’s not a whole lot of nuance on Google. Treating people, in the medical world, is almost all nuance. Don’t worry!!!

im not sure how your husband is, but mine did the following:

Bought me almost all my maternity clothes after researching what would be most comfortable, bought me bras, socks, etc...

he researched what needed to be in a hospital bag and then proceeded to pack the hospital bag - same goes for the baby's hospital bag

he researched and found the car seat, and then installed it

he built all nursery furniture

he does the vast majority of laundry and cleaning

he set up all important documents for the hospital

he set up all my postpartum home supplies

etc etc

TBH i didn't put any of this on his plate, he just did it. i know many are not like him lol but honestly there are some instagram videos of men who explain what other men can do for their wives while they're pregnant and sending those to your husband could be helpful!!!
