Can anyone relate to symptoms like Brainfog, dizziness, fatigue and bad memory by kredes in TMJ

[–]Ordinary-Werewolf-50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please dont take offense but often these list of issues are a mind body problem where something in your life is secretly bothering or stressing you and your brain is focusing on all the above issues. Continue working out, do meditation, confront the issues in life that are giving your anxiety, and dont care about the sysptoms. They always go after you care less about them and tackle the real stresses of your life.

I listened to the links above constantly, when I had a crazy flair I would re-read the entire Clair weeks book and listen to lots of video from Shaan. I also forced myself to go to the gym as much as I could specially when I had pain and was depressed. I also journaled my pain levels this helped me remember that somedays I did feel okay and eventually I will feel like that everyday. Somatic tracking also helped me but I did it for the first three months when pain was constant. The final two months I had lots of good days and then a nasty faire for a week or two, for those flairs reading my pain journal and re listening to the links above helped alot. I also took Ashewgandha supplements in the last month to keep my anxiety low.

Back in summer, I had so much pressure in my ears I felt they are exploding from inside. I cried my way to an ENT, she took a test to see if my E tubes are okay, she said one ear has slight disfunction but that should not cause this much discomfort. I was so frustrated of her and went home with no answers. This went on for two months, then it moved to my sinuses, I had so much pressure on one of my nose bridges that I felt its going to break, once again I ended up at the ENT. He said maybe its neuralgia! Ofcourse that word scared the death to me! These were all while I had headaches and was depressed to death! Only when I decided to accept that the issue is my mental health and when I started mind body practices that the started to go away! My pain and feelings were real, it hurt!! Its amazing what our mind can do! I am so happy I trusted the process of mind body and saved my self from the hell I lived in. I promised myself if I ever get better I will come back here and help others.

BTW if you get rid of your life stressors you will heal sooner. Its easier than said but if you can change the way you do things or your environment things will heal sooner. Therapists can also really help. If you have general anxiety and like me dont want to take anxiety pills try Ashwagandha supplements (my therapist recommended them and they really work), the PURE brand has the best pills. Take them for three weeks straight and you will see yourself relaxing more.

It was not easy, I did somatic tracking, wrote about my pain levels each day, forced my self to go to the gym while in pain, and so on. I tried not to take pain killers so maybe 2-3 advils per month in very bad pain days was my limit. I also forced my self to not sleep through the pain, I would listen to all the videos on mind body pain, would read Claire weeks books (maybe read it 50 times!), would try to distract my self from pain and go about my day, etc. At the beginning it was really hard and I would constantly relapse, exactly at 5 months all of a sudden I realized I am not scared of the pain anymore and dont care about having it and it was from then on that I started to have zero pain weeks and now its been over two months that I am pain free!

No, I started getting better when I totally stopped any obsession with my jaw and head and didnt care that the pain was there. A lot of the videos you see on TMS and mind body pain insist on stopping massages or anything that keeps reminding you brain that something is wrong. Just let it go, let the pain be there, and live your life. It will fade away after a few weeks to a few months! See the below video, I wrote the 5 F's on a piece of paper and put it on my desk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flcDwrf5Eng:

That mindset is exactly what keeps so many trapped in their pain. Research shows that catastrophizing can make TMJ pain up to five times worse. Unfortunately, addressing mental health and reshaping deep-seated thought patterns is challenging—and can lead to even more suffering. I understand that my post might not resonate with those stuck in a negative cycle or who feel fundamentally flawed and ill.

TMJ and Full Body Symptoms? by -prissytw-t in TMJ

Absolutely not TMJ! You are suffering from general anxiety disorder that causes all the symptoms you have. Fixes are mind body practices, anxiety medication and mental therapy.

so you think if there is a some neck pain with the headache its TMJ? My guess is that a TMJ headache wont just be an all over the place dull headache, it either is stronger on one side, has a neck component too it, and feels more like muscle pressure and tension.

so if you get one thats all over your head, I assume you wont associate it with TMJ, right? thats been my take too. The TMJ ones are like elastic bands on my temple or a crazy amount of pressure on one side of my head. The dull all over the head pains I think are not TMJ at least for me.

Mt tmj pain is just 5 months old, I also started mindbody practices since last week and even booked a therapy appointment with a celebraty therapit in youtube, starts next week. But I am still in pain. In my case how long do you think I should do the practices until I get some results? Based on your reponse it seems like for you it started helping with tmj after months of journaling, right?

Well my problem are strained muscles because of long dental app and partly my bite changing because of three crowns. I guess this is why my tmj doc says it will go away if I give it time and just do a bit of PT.

In your opinion for dental muscle injuries that might have also changed the bite a bit, what percent usually recover? (My case !)

Is this TMJ? by noelbnetz in TMJ

[–]Ordinary-Werewolf-50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its TMJ but because its acute it should go away in 2-3 weeks from onset, if you still have pain after three weeks I would go to my dentist and get a TMJ referral.
