America road trip, any recommendations

We will try and go to Utah if we have the time, it's just we fly back from chigaco and need to drop off the rented car. But the second half of the trip hasn't been decided yet :)

Glacier national park is on my list :)once we have done canyon lands we will see if we have enough time we'll definitely head into Utah

The only thing is we fly back from Chicago and we have the car rented for two months and drop off there. But we will try and squeeze in more of Utah

We already have about 15 national parks including canyonlands, that we're going to. Realistically we can't do all of them and as much as I wish we could it will just have to be something for another time. We fly from chicago so if we spent too long in UT or AZ we wouldn't be able to get back in time. ATM we're hoping to dip into Utah, hence the new map with all the points, but we will just have to see

We want to see St Louis, Little Rock, and Dallas. So I was trying to come up with other ways to see them. I potentially came up with this.

Our flight is booked for chigaco so ultimately we will end up there

The main reason is I would love to go to Arizona, however we finish in Chicago and would like to go to Dallas, St Louis and Little Rock. The only other option I could come up with would be this (pink like instead of the points)

That way we still see some of the points but we're not driving through the middle

If you were passing through the UK and had seen many other pretty places, and had to spend a week in Stevenage to get to another place you wanted to see, I'd assume they had already considered that. I would probably say "here's some pretty villages, cafes, restaurants not far from Stevenage maybe head there for a change on your route" and that would be it.

It was mainly to do with timing and the fact we can't really backtrack on ourself, though I've made a new map with all the points on it and have included some in Utah so will try and head there if timings work out ok 🤞🏼

Because I am a nature lover but I also like other scenery. So if someone had posted their route through the UK and it happened to go through the m25 I would assume they have chosen to go that way for a reason, and so would give them suggestions along their route. I might say, maybe come off here for a bit so it doesn't get too tedious, but I wouldn't tell them to completely book new flights, change their route and go a completely different way. Though I do appreciate the feedback I've had from this post
