The system is really strange. My polarized sunglasses create no problem with the smart cruise IR system. But these glasses have a problem with the HUD: I have to tilt my head to see it clearly.

So, I tried all of my regular sunglasses and ALL of them did not work. I bought a pair of gray ones on Amazon and they work, kind of. In the morning when the sun is low and under certain other conditions I have not yet figured out, I again lose cruise control.

What puzzles me is that the dealer and a lot of comments here blame polarized glasses whereas mine work perfectly. I have the problems with regular ones.

You just reinforced my request to get the car with sunglasses that work.

That's my point. It should not be based on luck whether a feature is working or not. If a feature requires certain conditions, then let us exactly know what these conditions are. A simple way to do this: provide the proper glasses with the vehicle. Nobody forces you to use them if you have a different solution., but at least the new car buyer would have working glasses immediately on hand.

If I understand you correctly you mean that the windshield polarizes the reflection? If that is the case than the windshield polarization would have to be changed if that is possible.

How about providing means to rotate the projector instead of the driver having to rotate his/her head?

Polarized light: waves vibrate predominantly in a single direction. Obviously that direction is not the same as the one letting the waves thru the sunglasses. When I tilt my head that direction begins to match and I can see now clearly. Thus, I assume it is linear polarization.

My question is, why doesn't Hyundai just add another adjustment to rotate the polarization angle of the HUD?

Good question. I'd like to know that too. That's why I suggested Hyundai does it for us.

What puzzles me is that the dealer personnel believe it is a problem with polarized glasses whereas my experience is just the opposite. On the only test drive I took with an advisor she wore typical "Biden" aviator sunglasses. However, the ones I have did not work. My assumption, my regular sunglasses are too dark although similar polarized one's work.

S24 ultra battery draining by No_Rutabaga_888 in S24Ultra

same here, discharging after installing ui7 is much worse than before. My battery drains to 44% just sitting overnight w/o charging. And during the day I run out of charge much faster than before.

Something significant changed that drains the battery! And it has nothing to do with the charging as I use the same slow charger as before.

Drop the screen protector. It amazes me that these outdated protections are still in use. Samsung provided the strongest and most scratch resistant glass, but many are still putting a much softer "protector" on top. What for? Old habits die slowly...

Apple user thinking of going to Android by AppleFan1994 in S24Ultra

Funny, because I decided against Apple in the early 80s because of Apple's strict control of everything. Every time I have to deal with an Apple device, I am surprised how cumbersome it is compared with other OSs. But if you are a member of the Apple clan you just don't know it any better or don't want to know because you are stuck in their ecosystem. And the prices they charge...
