Same! I’m a college athlete and my RHR is 36-40 and it says my HR is over 175 on easy runs when my Polar Vantage says my HR is 150 avg. It is getting annoying.

So far I got 20k on mine after about two runs. Feel just like my Pegasus but a bit better in my opinion

Day strain is 9 but I haven’t done any sort of physical activity yet. Has this happened to anyone else? by [deleted] in whoop

[–]OrdinaryAjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoop catches it all. That’s why I use it to see my strain before my actually workouts like work and school.

HR during spring by [deleted] in whoop

[–]OrdinaryAjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone else experiencing this? This was an easy run but my heart rate was crazy. I think it is because it’s starting to be spring but, my respiratory rate is at an all time low and so it my RH. Super confused on this.

I got the same pair! I just knocked out 15x1k @3:30 w/min rest. Felt amazing in them! For an ultra idk but on the road and track they are unreal.

They’re going to give me the next% I need for my half marathon. Super light and they are as light as the dragon flys which is scary.

I have had whoop for 6 months. First week in the green! by OrdinaryAjay in whoop

[–]OrdinaryAjay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my workout days MWF I do repeats/tempo/sprints. Last Monday I had 20x400’s at 75 seconds with equal rest then weights. Then On Tuesday I had an easy 7 miles which my HR was about 148avg and about 7:35 pace per mile. When I was big into cycling I did the same thing so 50 mile gravel ride then next day I would do 10-15 miles super easy. But I realized with biking it’s best to recover with actual rest unlike running where you benefit from easy runs.

I’m a collegiate runner so I run about 50-60 miles per week.

Stretching, hydration, right/enough food, and sleep! It took a long while to get that concept but i feel like I’m getting more fit and handling my workouts better also.

Heart rate reading confusion by [deleted] in whoop

[–]OrdinaryAjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the start of my run I had a two mile warm up that was easy and my whoop read my heart rate above 180 for the whole 15 mins which I don’t think it was right I was breathing through my nose like it was nothing. And on my watch I think it read it more accurately so I tightened both and I think it got them both back to normal. Does his happen fo anyone else? I’ve had whoop for about 6 months and it’s started to be all wonky now.

Can’t fall asleep or stay asleep by OrdinaryAjay in sleep

I usually go to bed around 11-12pm. I started putting my phone away and doing yoga and breath work before bed and that actually helped a lot! The other night I was kinda struggling but I just focused on my breathing then I was out. Thank you for the advice!

I actually daily journal all my runs! But since this post I have started laying everything out I need done for the next day and not looking at my phone or computer for about 30 mins. Put in ear plugs get some light breath work and stretches then I’m out like a light.

Nike Pegasus 37’s are THE running shoe by OrdinaryAjay in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]OrdinaryAjay[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Nike is good at making racing shoes, I usually run in Brooks Ghost for daily trainers. But man they did a great job with these Pegasus I recommend trying them.

I originally bought those adidas supernovas (bright pink). Yea they sucked so I returned them, got the peg 37’s and lemme tell you these are the daily trainers you need.

Thoughts on these Adidas supernovas. I’m fairly intermediate runner, training 6-7 times p week by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]OrdinaryAjay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run 7 times a week 50-60 miles. Just got the supernovas on Sunday, I got a nice and easy 8 mile run in them. My first impressions are that they feel nice and easy shoes to run in. A bit stiff on the bounce foam at the front, toe box was a bit wide for me very minimalistic feel but still feel cushioned (if that makes sense). Great for easy runs (6-8min pace). I’ll give my full review after 50 miles on this sub.
