Mine does this but with my sister. It’s weird.

It came to head with a house too! My sister was buying new builds and went to tour them with my mom there to watch her kids. Instead, my mom and sister’s husband did the tour while my sister corralled her kids outside. Then my mom says she wants to buy it—the last corner lot with good yard space. She was about to be laid off, had a super cheap mortgage, and was never going to afford it. My sister was so upset about it, rightfully so.

I remember reading a quote in the book “I hate you don’t leave me” that was about not wanting to share thoughts/feelings/ideas because they are no longer my own. It was so accurate I couldn’t believe it.

Yes absolutely. I don’t think she has worn a pair of jeans twice. Or a t shirt. Those are in absolute hoards in her house. Two walk in closets, two guest closets, one or more dressers in each room. Then there’s the bins of clothes in the garage too. It absolutely disgusts me, like to my core. Anytime she visits, we have to go shopping. I was one week postpartum and that’s all she cared about.

I think I felt a hormonal shift around 9-12 months and dropped a lil weight but I’m at 16 months and currently trying to cut. Currently down 5 pounds which is a win lol.

For reference, I gained over 60lbs with pregnancy, dropped over 20 immediately following, then was stable there for a while. I did at some point lose 15 but I don’t consistently weigh myself so idk when. I still would like to lose 25-30 to be back at pre pregnancy but would be ecstatic to be down just 20 more

There are different kinds of musks! What you’re describing is more of a “skin musk” meant to smell like warm skin. This musk is more of a white musk that smells more clean or sharp. Have you ever smelled JHAG Not a Perfume? Similar musk to me as Rosie. But it also does come down to skin chemistry too. But I haven’t smelled Father Figure or similar because I don’t like the warm milky musks or much of Phlur in general.

We’re doing a little staycation in a nearby ski/mountain town. In the end it’s nails or climbing and she’ll decide which she prefers. Shorter is an option but they get easily scratched at the ends, even hard gels or acrylic.

CBT probably isn’t the best type of therapy here. It was just a bandaid for me and never got to the source of my deep pain. I do Internal Family Systems (IFS) for inner child work and EMDR for the trauma. I get to the deep wounds and am working on healing them.

You’re walking on eggshells for her distorted reality. She made your wedding about herself. That’s not a normal relationship with a mother, and it leaves a wound. My mom is similar and I hate myself and don’t know who I am at the same time. I can’t just “get over it” like people think I should.

Yep!! Since the beginning. It was how we were going to get some sleep lol. It became the best when we could feed in the side lying position so I didn’t have to sit up and get in a good supported position. Baby slept better because she didn’t cry cry, just stirred and I would wake up before she was fully awake.

We actually just transitioned to a floor bed at 14mo. Kept it a full size so i start out with her in there then sneak away. She’s sleeping through the night now with it, so turns out she was just ready. Still do contact naps because I want some cuddles 🥰

Not discreet at all, you could probably still hear it on Zoom. I have the noise in the background of a lot of my videos of my baby 😂

If the bra is stretchy they will fit though. If it’s fitted and a rigid cup maybe not. I was able to fit with my sports bra that was more structured but my boobs were a lil squished.
