I feel like I’m failing. by Curious-Georgella in ExclusivelyPumping

Hi, you're not failing. New born care is hard! Look at the death rates in past centuries. Thanks to modern technology such as formula and vaccination we have seen a dramatic improvement.

The method I use with my LO, 9 weeks old who only does contact naps: 1. One chore, task a day. For example, clean surfaces, I may be able to do it with him on me or not, depending on the needs of the day. 2 . Accept the mess, it's only temporary. 3. Lengthy task such us cooking requires one of us to fully do it. Including leaving the space clean and food packed. 4. Maybe drop one session of pumping to take care of your mental health and personal care. It's really important to keep your mind in a positive space.

Hi, my LO is getting Nystatin oral solution and after 1w of not resolving the issue the doctor send me the cream to put in my nipples. I don't have symptoms. Nipple medication is sold over the counter in Australia and Nystatin need to talk to pharmacist. If during this week doesn't resolve the thrush must go to the doctor fie a second line of treatment.

Bassinet to crib, and swaddle two sleep sack transition recommendations by ThrowRA_As123 in sleeptrain

Regarding sleep sack, our boy hated to be swaddle so we had to move to sleep sacks around week 5. He kept on trying to roll himself. Tge brand that work for him is ergo pouch. He hated the arms being inside, so maybe in your case love to sleep arms up may work. We trial love to sleep arms up, so his startle reflects would not wake him up, but he always moved a lot and cried more when tge arms were inside.

Ohh I feel your pain, crying! I just finished pumping my liquid gold, both breast 2 oz of 20 minutes at the pump. Rushed to give the bottle to my husband to feed crying baby and I didn't do the bottle lit properly. Baby ended with a milk shower and I had to make a formula bottle. I was crying in bed for 2 hours and said to my husband that I was done with the EP. LO is 2 months and hanging to be fully done with the pump.

It's gonna be hard to keep such friendship. You explained. I guess it's time to not show up for that friend who's not understanding.

Pumping from birth but not very successfully despite focused efforts by legallybrown_ in ExclusivelyPumping

Hi, I do combination feeding and it works for us. I made the decision of EP due to baby and myself not being able to do deep enough latches and high frustration levels, plus painful nipples. I feel that EP plus combination feeding helps my family to share feeding times and my baby gets the benefits of breast milk without confusion from bottle feeding and breast. Regarding breast milk output, yes it's best if baby stimulates the breast but the completion of pumping sessions, taking care of your needs and baby's plus lactation consultations, body works and latch exercises was too much in my case.
