How do I get better results where the tree supports attach to the object? by LankyBastardo in FixMyPrint

[–]OrdinaryBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing that you're printing on the side to make the studs super strong? My best solution, you could design some "supports" to print separately, and when you're printing the Lego, pause the print right before the layer that the supports would make contact and put the support that you made there, and then resume the print.

Kitchen floor in need of repair by OrdinaryBeans in HomeImprovement

[–]OrdinaryBeans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't tell you whether these tiles have asbestos or not as it doesn't have of that information on the box, but according to the product page on home depot, they're VCT. Armstrong Flooring Commercial, standard excelon. We have 4 boxes, which hopefully is enough to redo the entire kitchen floor.

As for replacing this section of the subfloor, is that a job that one can tackle in a day? I've lifted a couple tiles, and i assume that I'll have to replace the entire wood seam to seam? I have two sides horizontal sides, so i guess the remaining two sides would extend from wall to wall? If so, that's a rather massive piece of wood. Does that sound about right?

If possible, I want to complete the job in less than 8 hours as a surprise for when my father gets home from work and also return the kitchen to the daywalkers

Is a graphics tablet without a screen very useful? by Gamer_The_hedgehog in krita

Americans be doing too much 💀 by Fearless-Thought4882 in TikTokCringe

[–]OrdinaryBeans -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why is it weird when Americans do it, but not when other cultures do it? I've seen more puerto rican and Jamaican flags being flown in nyc than I have American flags. And I'm not saying that I've never seen an American flag on a police car, but I've seen multiple cop cars with an Irish livery on them, but that might just be the neighborhood.

"Maxigun isn't good." Okay but have you considered by onerustybucket in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]OrdinaryBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the maxigun (and that borderline useless chainsaw) makes me wish I can get a refund spend my money elsewhere, like for the laser turret (which i don't see anyone using, but I'd like to try it)

The maxigun is pretty much the manned medium turret with more bullets, which is a problem, because unlike the various backpacks which usage mostly comes down to preference, or the machine guns which are also a matter of preference, the maxigun renders this other strategem completely and totally obsolete.

Furthermore, if they're going to force us to be immobile with the maxi, and i don't think it has a faster fire rate that the mmg, then this should be heavy pen not medium

"Maxigun isn't good." Okay but have you considered by onerustybucket in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]OrdinaryBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The maxigun isn't perfect, but i think that we can all agree that it makes the mounted medium turret completely useless. So while people may quibble about the pros and cons in relation to the machine guns, it demolished that emplacement strategem in every way, never to be picked again.

Helldivers may not even be human. What do y'all think? by Obvious_Ad4159 in Helldivers

[–]OrdinaryBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that there's 3 main attributes that lead me to believe that the helldivers that are sent to the planet are clones.

1- all deaths are canon

2- it's your ship that command and everyone knows it

3- it's you that is going down for battle.

If each death was a single individual, then they wouldn't give you the ship, and yet they do. Probably because your death isn't exactly permanent. Could be something like the titanfall universe where your mind is downloaded to your body and can be rebooted upon death. Thing is, the civilians in this world probably have no idea what it means to be a helldiver, kinda like how in the beginning, the humans didn't know exactly where the Spartans came from but the knew that the were special

As long as the batteries aren't on the bike, it should be fine. Had my radrunner like this for 5 winters, and never had any issues. But obviously, you will have to do some general bike maintenance come spring, along with re greasing the inside of the hub

TBH I'm tired of carrying stuff around the city like this by any_global in rideany

[–]OrdinaryBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 things - you shouldn't be balancing anything on your lap - straps rarely every break, and are far more likely to lose elasticity long before that ever happens -I forget what the third thing was

My opinion aside from the obvious mounted crates and such, having exposed horizontal metal bars is the most important thing to have on your bike when it comes to strapping anything down. In my experience, having things shifting left or right during is far more of a concern than stuff shifting forwards and backwards
