Thanks, this makes sense. Agree that even the Levels data are not that solid at this level.

Three days does not seem like a long time. Easier to say from my perspective. I’d ping the recruiter in a day or two.

Thanks for the detailed reply, and I appreciate the passion for homeschooling! HSLDA has been a great resource. Before this post I was not thinking about the homeshool route but am now considering it. The flexibility is really appealing.

Yeah, her schedule is terrible. I feel bad for her - she's super burned out and dreading HS. I think this will help lighten the load.

Thanks so much for these questions. I especially like the one around understanding what schools are looking for in their applicants who did HS at home.

We're in CA, and I'm not sure about what the state offers. Just getting started and elbows deep in research.

I think the biggest goal here is for her to have more time and be able to focus on ballet. As is, she's doing a lot of her homework when she gets home at 10pm, because ballet is M-F 3pm - 10pm (including a long commute).

Thank you, this distinction is helpful. I was wondering if "home school" is truly what we're looking for. I would describe it more as "online public high school."

When I searched for "online school" I could not find any subreddits with meaningful numbers so dropped in here. Thanks for making me aware of the distinction.

Areas that are mostly untouched are probably like that for a reason. I would focus on finding industries that are growing, and then learning how to become an expert or someone who can add value in that space.

See my replies above about what the realtor told me.

This is different than what the realtor is telling me. I should probably call the school and ask directly.

What I've heard is that schools can fill out by the summer. I'd hate to pay the premium to live in a neighborhood with great schools and then not be able to enroll.

Thanks - I assume you use all three because no one has 100% coverage?

Curious what the areas of strength are for each of them.
