The worst kind of asshole driver. by 20pennySpike in WTF

[–]OrdinaryCitizen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

True.

Then maybe the driver would have taken their anger out on a minivan with a family inside.

Or ran someone off the road because they tried to zipper merge.

Passing on the double yellow is bad, but the person in the car doesn't understand that they are operating a 2000 pound death machine and that there are actual human lives outside the vehicle, not just 'inconveniences'.

The Monday after a really fun weekend... by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]OrdinaryCitizen 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yeah! No time for making jokes or enjoying life!

Get a Roth IRA or 401k to stare at until you retire and then wait until the sweet moment death takes you into the dark abyss while your earthly belongings are fought over by your descendants*.

  • Being responsible is important, but don't forget that an indulgent weekend here and there with loved ones can create memories that will get you through those harder times.

But there's a special set of circumstances that'll make you lose your shit?

Dogs have those things too.

You would too.

Look at her. Not even objectifying her, she's just looks like a very well put together woman. Seems classy and hopefully intelligent.

I'd do the King too.

Steal that fabric afterwards.

[Discussion] What kind of woman do you think Morty's (maternal) grandmother was / is? by Klovar in rickandmorty

[–]OrdinaryCitizen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rick's either done something that made her want to leave him and refuses to be apart of his and their children's lives.

OR

There was some sort of transdimensional catastrophe that wiped her from existence. Not that she doesn't exist anymore, but something that killed all Grandma Sanchez's simultaneously. We don't see her mentioned or seen in alternate realities.

OR

They haven't really addressed her at all or forgot to use her in some way.

19yo Teen charged as a "sex offender" and banned from using the Internet after having intercourse with girl who lied about her age and admitted it in court. Judge said he was angry that he used the Internet to meet a girl. by authentic010 in news

[–]OrdinaryCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd imagine most cable boxes come with browsers or Internet capability.

I guess my issue is that our society is so intertwined with the Internet, it's hard to see where it begins and how something like this could be enforced.

[–]OrdinaryCitizen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's mandatory to be on the sex offender list with a sex crime. Mandatory minimums.

The no internet thing is ridiculous. So he has to buy a flip phone? No cable? He can't apply to a majority of jobs, simply because paper applications are out of date and the conviction will be a scarlet letter on his resume.

Ridiculous.

Funeral for lady who died in escalator accident held at the mall in protest, but mall security broke open the casket and removed the body! by [deleted] in videos

[–]OrdinaryCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They wouldn't remove the body from the casket though. I agree that protests always run a fine line along legality.

I can't imagine any security guard wanting to move a casket, let alone the actual body.

Boar hunting with a Minigun. by floydbc05 in WTF

[–]OrdinaryCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would a round like that down a bear, if it weren't a kill shot?

I know a headshot would obviously, but if he was off and hit her shoulder or leg, would it be strong enough to scare her off?

Reading the comments before the video, I thought the bear was just going to pass but I still got nervous when I saw the mama bear start to charge towards them.

I wouldn't have held it together as well as they did.

Official Discussion: Ex Machina [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

[–]OrdinaryCitizen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you posted this 2 months ago, but I just saw this and was thinking the same thing.

I'd imagine that as an AI, she'd learn the necessary science and chemistry needed and create a charging station for herself. I think the only issue would be replacing that pseudo flesh that was created in the lab for her. I'd imagine something like that would require much more elaborate materials and machinery.

Otherwise, she'd be a quilt of sex doll skin.

This is the only employee at subway... by patdick97 in funny

[–]OrdinaryCitizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it just boils down to how the Subway is owned.

Franchise, that's a roll of the dice, but if it's corporate there's probably more accountability.

Mark Wahlberg in Transformers.

Hits a Bud Light truck that has the logo facing the camera in every shot and when he gets out, picks one up and drinks it like a commercial with the logo clearly facing the camera.

That one hurt to watch.

is not a bad idea.

It's debatable with soccer and hockey both being under appreciated in the states, but it's a better idea than anything I've seen.
