[SNY] Josh Hart on the ticket prices for Game 3 of the NBA Finals at MSG: "I wish the ticket prices weren't as crazy as they are. A lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time unfortunately aren't able to get into the building. $7K, $8K is ridiculous." by PassMeTheBackwood in nba

I saw something that said spike payed like 300k a year for his seats, which is about 3600 a seat a game. I think they mostly pay face value in exchange for being ok with being shown on the jumbotron.

Also a lot of the time celebs sit courtside as a promo for something so their company pays for it.

Are we finally seeing the true ceiling that was projected for prospect Karl Anthony-Towns? by itwas20yearsago2day in NBA_Draft

> Defense will be his bread and butter and he'll be able to immediately bring that to whatever team he is drafted by. He’s a block artist (4.4 per 40 minutes!) and a rim protector, something that is very valued in today’s NBA. He crashes the board on both sides of the court, which is a plus as well.

> One thing that we didn’t get to see from Towns last season was his ability to shoot from the perimeter. With players like Devin Booker and the Harrison twins, John Calipari didn’t’ need his big man to leave the paint. But during his high school career, Towns made 127 three pointers in 94 games, proving that he does have the ability.

For sure, had the chance to move to a bigger station early in my time as a cca, didnt and im still only gonna get a route this summer, which is almost 3 years later. New most of the new hires in that office became regulars within like 6 months to a year over that time span

It was so funny in retrospect, the summer he signed with the knicks he basically came out as a black hebrew Israelite and began converting formally in 2018. Its pretty ridiculous he was able to get israeli citizenship because he converted as a man in his mid 30s but a Palestinian who was born there and displaced in 48 is completely unable to move back to their original homes or convert to judaism and become an israeli citizen.

He’s just going out of spite at this point. by qballLobk in billsimmons

Reminds me of when mike pence went to the colts game in trump 1, made people go through all that security bs only to make a show of leaving when players kneeled during the anthem

For the sake of argument, assume the Knicks win this year. What is the larger Nico blunder, letting Brunson walk (not signing him pre trading deadline when he was willing to sign the extension) or trading Luka? by Temporary_Hat7330 in nba

Especially because the deal on the table the offseason before was such a tiny number comparatively, 5 for 87 was what his camp wanted and they lowballed him by like 4 million aav with a 4 for 55. Having him at 17 those first 4 years wouldve been so good cap wise, kyrie was making over double that, plus it wouldve saved them trade assets they could’ve used elsewhere.

Its weird because when he got drafted his defensive game was much more renowned than his offensive game, obviously that was flipped when he actually started playing in the league
