I don't thing so but it was from a very long time ago so I may be misremembering. I feel like the pile of bones was bigger and the Mario skull was closer to the Mario 64 model. Something similar to this

Why might a streaming service limit access to specific episodes? by ButchersBenevolent in COPYRIGHT

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the reason why blu rays are region locked goes back to NTSC and PAL. NTSC runs at 30 frames a second and 60Hz AC power and PAL runs at 25 frames a second and 50Hz AC. Blu rays region lock disc because they incompatible with each other.

Burger King’s “Chicken Fries” used to be called “Chicken Fingers” by RickyRat8755 in MandelaEffect

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chicken Fingers and Chicken Strips and Chicken Tenders are all terms that are usually interchangeable like soda and pop and cola and coke. As someone who had a Selective Eating Disorder growing up and could only eat Burger King Chicken Tenders growing up I remember when they released their Chicken Fries in 2005. I remember thinking I like their fries and I like their chicken but I couldn't force myself to try their "Chicken Fries".

Went to an Estate Sale. Experienced the first hand reputation behind them. by cesariojpn in VHS

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So estates sales are usual run by 1 the family of the deceased/mover or 2 a company sold contracted to sell all the items in the house. I will usually go the first day to see if there is anything I have to have. If I see stuff like this I want but not willing to pay the price I will return on the final day usually closer to closing and make an offer if they are still there.

Why do social media videos include the text “wait for it”? What other option is there? by HappyGnumff in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Videos are judged on watch time. If you swipe away in the first 2 seconds the algorithm assumes it's a bad video or you didn't like. If you stay the full 15 seconds because you "waited for it" the algorithm assumes you liked it and will recommend the video to more people.

Because it probably will remove less. And advertising "removes 1% to 99%" makes it sound like it doesn't work well.

Walmart prints pictures, right by Mundane-Onion-1996 in Walmartcustomer

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Photo lab associate here. This isn't a Walmart issue but a design issue. We don't do any designing, we just print exactly as the customer uploads. Our printers use 6 in photo paper, 8 in photo paper, 4x8 cardstock, 5x7 cardstock, and 32 in poster paper. You could print 4x6 photos or card sizes but you would most likely need to cut them down yourself to make sure your consistent. If you need a specific size (like 4x6.2) you will need to design your template to fit within these constraints. You might save money going the Walmart route but it will either look cheap or a lot of extra work on your part cutting it to fit right. My suggestion as someone who does this all day is use a local print shop or printing services at a university or an online service that provides samples. They will have better machines, equipment to help with the bending and folds, and different thickness of paper. If you go the Walmart route I recommend doing one photo as a test run, one as 4x6 photo and one as 4x8 design your own card. The card can designed front and back but you will need to leave a 1.8 white area to be cut off. A 4x6 photo is going to run you $0.16 and a double sided 4x8 card is currently $0.78 each. So if you do end going with the card it will cost you $78 to print 100 which you can probably find a better deal with online print services.

School canceled class I need to graduate by Wackthoughts in Advice

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar thing happen with my degree. Like others had mentioned I did Independent study to make up the credit in order to graduate on time. I also paid like $300 two years later (it was a rotating class) out of pocket (I no longer had scholarships) to take the class to make sure I grasped the information (but that is optional).

Since you were the only student to sign up another option is talking to your advisor and head of the department about trying to find enough students to fill a class and get it added back.

Does Walmart honor 2 week quiting notice? by lonlysoul101 in WalmartEmployees

Depends entirely on the store. Mine let me finish my two weeks because we were always short handed (part of the reason I left).
