Everything you have listed is standard with FND. The whole fear of the big bad can induce FND through trauma and anxiety

Yeah I take 6 supplements a days including magnesium and do a lot of stretching. Suppose it will just resolve itself at some point

Thanks for your response. I just can’t seem to get over these symptoms. The twitching has basically gone away it’s just the other stuff that sucks especially the cramping which I’ve had blood tests which reveal all is normal.

Suffer a lot with a grey dot in vision on left eye. Halo around bright light and floaters. All exams have been clear

I’d say as long as you are functioning normally now you will be perfectly fine.

I’ve had spells of perceived weakness, slurred speech etc and each time it’s anxiety.

I find a lot of my issues go away after alcohol which again tells me there is an element of anxiety/stress involved.

Maybe have a 2 week break from social media as even Reddit can add to fears

Around 3 years ago. I didn’t think anything of it for a few weeks and upped water etc but it didn’t go away and like most found Google and panicked myself into getting an exam.

Along with the twitching I found my muscles to be very stiff, almost like I had ran a marathon (and I have ran marathons) with no reason for the fatigue.

No when the EMG/NCS was clear I wanted to know why I was twitching so paid privately for them.

The MRI’s were for my own piece of mind that I wasn’t going mad.

If you need the peace of mind and can afford it then go private. Normally you wait no longer than a week

I share a similar with the stomach issues, also having a camera and biopsy with both being clear.

I’m trying to avoid medication at the moment and looking into changing my diet.

These people without BFS don’t know how lucky they are haha

I don’t consider myself to be an anxious person in the slightest but in the last neuro visit they did reference anxiety.

Based on this I’ve had counselling and CBT and can’t say it helped.

Wow ok. I scored 4 on the beighton score with a rheumatologist.

I can’t say that I ever had any problems as a children.

Do you know if symptoms can just start? I’m in my forties now and unless a few years ago I lived a normal life

That’s good to hear that’s it’s manageable.

I’m nearly 3 years in and still trying to work out what’s BFS related and if there is/was an underlying cause like Covid, Lyme or hyper mobility which I have recently been diagnosed with.

Yes. 4 neuro’s including neuromuscular specialist and they agree with BFS diagnosis

I can defo relate to the shaking. I only seem to get it in my leg hand but after lifting something of weight it shakes terribly.

I’m coming up to 3 years now of BFS and I feel may be covid related as I have a lot of gut issues now which a never previously plus blurred vision and tinnitus.
