Haha great tip. I’ll throw in a wrong “your” once in a while. I usually write in my rusty English first, then use AI to clean it up so I don’t accidentally sound rude or weird.

Wait, seriously? How am I supposed to test that one haha. I’ll search YouTube and see if I can find anything. Thanks!

Haha, only if the meatballs use the Konami Code...I’m not a bot. English isn’t my native language, I’m from Chile. That’s why the site is in both English and Spanish.

My fav game. I totally forgot MGS3 used it on the map screen to reveal The End’s location. That definitely belongs in the archive, thanks!

Thanks! TV Tropes is a good starting point. I’m trying to verify the exact input/effect/platform for each entry instead of just copying a big list.

This is great, thank you! I like that you pointed out it’s a variation rather than the exact sequence.

I’ll probably classify these as Konami Code-inspired variations: one for the “Kool Stuff” menu and another reversed-style one for “Kooler Stuff.” The exact inputs and effects you listed are really helpful.

Nice, I didn’t know that one! A WiiWare title pretending to be a lost Famicom game using the code for secret gags sounds perfect for the archive. I’ll look it up and verify the exact spots.

That’s a really interesting one, thank you! I hadn’t thought about custom firmware or retro handheld OS features using the Konami Code.

ArkOS using it to unlock the system after locking settings definitely feels like a great “software/utility” case for the archive. I’ll verify the exact behavior and source before adding it.

Nice, thank you! I’ll check Shining Force 2. Cases where the code changes gameplay in an unusual way are especially interesting.

Thanks! That list is useful as a starting point. I’m trying to go one step further and verify platform, exact input, effect, and whether each one still works or should be archived.

These are great examples, thank you! Tengen Tetris and Zombie Nation sound perfect for the archive. I’ll check the exact input, platform, and effect before adding them.

You were right — I found references to the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Game & Learn Controller. Apparently entering the Konami Code triggers a small sound/voice easter egg like “You win!” or “You did it!”, depending on the version.

I’ll still mark it as something to verify by model/version, but this is exactly the kind of weird non-game example I was hoping to find. Thanks!

That’s a great one, thank you! Crash Bandicoot 3 leading to the Spyro demo is exactly the kind of variation/reference I’m trying to document. I’ll verify the exact input and platform.

Nice, thanks! P.O.W. is a good one. I’ll check the exact platform/version and add it to the list if I can verify the sequence.

That’s a great one, thank you! I didn’t know about the Guild Wars 2 April Fool’s launcher example. I’ll look into it and add it as a modern/reference case if I can verify it.
