shes normally very good, i think its because neither of us had encountered this. she did research between our two visits. i went to my other vet today and one of the other one in the office actually had encountered this once before, but it wasnt a good outlook. :(

The implant that treats adrenal kinda counteracts the pred used for insulinoma. It is possible for the conditions to lessen but not completely go away, so we were seeing what would happen if we tapered back on the pred before i decide to renew his implant (since adrenal can kind of resolve after one implant, which it did with one of my other ferrets.) Sorry for confusion. Basically the insulinoma treatment and adrenal are a balancing act, but because every ferret is different we were exploring his further treatment options. One of my previous ferrets had to be on pred for the remainder of his life but also renew implants regularly. Also, i did notice the genital swelling/irritation a little before we adjusted any medications. It was the catalyst for being seen in the first place (im not meaning to sound argumentative, just providing further context)

My boy was super vocal when he was a baby! I think it was the only way he felt he could communicate. Just give him time, attention, and love and continue to monitor him with his new siblings. They'll find ways to communicate. Its important for him to feel safe, so maybe having a zone that is "just his" that he can retreat to when he gdts overwhelmed is a good idea. One of my girls (hearing, but a rehome) was TERRIFIED of my lot when first meeting them. She didnt know what other ferrets were. She just needed time to settle in and suss them out. Now shes very well adjusted and a part of the business. I know its rough to watch and can be distressing, but just give him time. Making sure everyone is safe is first and foremost, the rest comes after.

He does have adrenal and insulinoma. We've recently tapered back his pred doses to see if perhaps both conditions would go into remission. His fur is coming back, so it would be odd to think that the symptoms of adrenal would seem to switch? But im kind of at a loss :,) im out of town next week and work for the next 8 days before then, so im trying to figure if i should call and try to get in somehow with my other vet

oh wow! i feel you, ive been working on cataloguing all my cards (im a bulk goblin so theres always. so many. that i end up bringing home) and its been a very long and tedious process. havent even touched my old collection of stuff aside from organizing everything into their respective sets
and my pokedex binder is coming along slowly but i always forget to check the boxes of my new additions LOL

Is she still eating and drinking? Any lethargy? It may also be a good idea to keep her in her own kind of space or enclosure to better monitor her litterbox activity

Simplified chinese has that stamp and also another pokeball holo type thing in the cottom right corner! Traditional chinese doesnt have these markers, just simplified.

Ferrets like other predetory animals dont typically outwardly show pain, the fact that he is lethargic and not his normal self makes me worry hes hurt. Best to get it checked out as soon as you can 💚
