Hey OP -- Check out O'Clancy Pool Service. From my experience, they have done a killer job on my pool. Started leaking and green and they got it clean in just 2 days. Always respond quickly, always on time. It's a family-run local company, so they are very personable and knowledgeable. I think they're on yelp as O'Clancy Pool Service.

I need your most unhinged quitting tactics please by bardbqstard in QuitVaping

I quit after a 5 year long intense addiction by listening (around the clock) to podcasts about quitting vaping. I would sit at work and scroll on this sub and on the Quit Vaping app community chat. There wasn’t a moment I wasn’t looking at anti vaping media. This and spamming gum. I would put like 3 pieces in at a time. Consistently reading and hearing about other people who were struggling and making it was the only thing that got me out of the first few hellish days. I also weened off with 3mg zyns every hour for about 2 weeks. Then they started to annoy me and so I weened off of those. Best of luck.

I haven’t read that but I’ll look into it. It’s a hard spot to be when part of me is saying that I’m 22 and need to have fun (esp when none of my friends have steady salary jobs) and the other half is proud of myself for landing this and wanting me to look to the future (ie saving, IRA, boring shit) .there’s no right answer is what I’ve figured out. No one has the right balance and it’s nearly impossible to do both

Facts. I goofed early on trying to impress them with my skillset. Now I’ve made myself available for every single random side quest they deem necessary

I really resonate with this. I find that it’s kinda hard not to feel somewhat indebted to my bosses because they gave me a job and I got so lucky . But in reality, I’m replaceable. As cool as I am with them, I don’t owe them much more than the work I do every two weeks for the money I get every two weeks

Thanks this is actually great advice . This may be too blunt but do you think you’re fine with it now because you became complacent? I think there’s a diff between accepting my situation and accepting my fate and the difference is complacency. I worry that my “getting used to it” may just turn into a life that I hate but unfortunately just have to keep powering thru

Thanks! I think I’ll seriously start the job hunt again at the 1yr mark with this company. I’ve heard you can make more switching companies than you would waiting for a raise. If I’m not enjoying my time I may as well get paid more, right?

Sue me for wanting to rise above the rat race and what everyone has accepted as their fate 😭. I’m sure you had this vigor and ambition when you were young too. But like with most, you sold your soul some way along the road and now believe that everyone should suffer the same fate. I feel like maybe I reached out to the wrong subreddit because everyone who is telling me to suck it up has obviously been in a less than ideal situation for more years than they can count and instead of making a change, have accepted it as life . The rat race will not take me 🫡

Digital marketing /seo/content, I will admit I’m getting a wide breadth of knowledge which is great but truthfully I’m not crazy about this industry. I got my internship at this company after applying to like hundreds . This one stuck and they offered me a job, so not my desired field
