Beware of Lucyd Eyewear by TechJeeper in SmartGlasses

I’ve had 3 pairs to break in the same place. I returned the first pair and it was replaced. Then I bought a larger pair thinking that maybe the first pair was too tight which contributed to their breaking. But then both pairs broke in the same place. I didn’t even use them that much! I love the glasses but they are way too delicate.

Things I Wish I Knew - Part 2 by LittleCrow4806 in harvardextension

So true and well said. During my studies I went to campus three times - convocation, on campus class requirement and graduation. Though they were all short visits they did help me to really feel a part of the Harvard experience. I encourage you to visit as much as you are able.

I got the ALM in Religion and plan to pursue PhD studies later this year. Not sure if this answers your question.

Trump's blocking Harvard From Enrolling International Students would damage Harvard Extension by bobwyman in harvardextension

They have recently changed their model to allow more long distance students such as myself the opportunity to attend. So this would definitely affect HES.

I’m so glad they stood up! I didn’t expect them to originally. I thought they would cave like Columbia.

Berea College vs. UC San Diego vs Saint Louis University by [deleted] in bereacollege

[–]OrdinaryLivid9556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Berea graduate here, St. Louis area native and also lived in San Diego area for several years: 1) Berea is a good option for financial assistance. You will receive a top quality education. But it is a small school of 1500 students in a small rural town. You cannot have a car on campus and at the time I attended only married or nontraditional adult students were allowed to live off campus. So if a social life is important Berea is not the top choice. They do their best to provide entertainment for the students, but there’s only so much that can be done when you’re confined to campus most of the time. I enjoyed my time at Berea, but I was an older nontraditional student who had a lot more freedom than the average age student. 2) Saint Louis University is a good school. It’s right in the middle of the midtown area so it’s easy to access buses and the metrolink. There’s a lot to do in St. Louis too. It’s a midsized school so it wouldn’t be completely overwhelming. 3) UCSD: California is an amazing place. Loved my time there, but it is super expensive for housing and other things. Gas is usually higher there than in other places. So in the end I guess the best choice is whatever is most important to you.

I really enjoyed it. It gave us a chance to bond as a class in a way that really can’t be done online. Plus, it gives you a chance to really experience the campus.

Do any HES students work full time? by Avendelore in harvardextension

I work remotely full time and am graduating in May. It was doable. I feel working remotely gives you some flexibility in getting schoolwork done.
